Okay. Most anime that has freaky parts like this don't phase me anymore, but I gotta admit. Michi/Trixie has PROBLEMS. I mean, its really clear to me. When I read the description of the "scene that seriously freaked me out" my mind brought me the image of that face turning - even before the video actually played it. I remembered that horrible feeling of fear I had when I saw it as a kid.

When I was a kid I had a reoccuring nightmare that spawned from this episode. In the nightmare I would wake up, go out to the kitchen where my mom was, tell her I had a bad dream and when she turned around AAAAAH! a monster, so I'd wake up, go to tell my mom and AAAARGH! Over and over again. When I finally TRULY woke up I wouldn't go find my mom because I was too scared. Powerful stuff in the mind of a child.

I don't remember seeing this when I was a kid. I think this was in Part 2 of a 3 part arc. Perhaps our local station left this epi out to spare us. It would've scared me good. Also, in Part 1 of this same arc Spritle and Chim Chim go for a midnight drive and find themselves in a nightmarish landscape. They stumble upon The Car Acrobatic Team in a ritualistic moment. The art is very different in these segments. Pretty cool stuff, even though it's still pretty bad stuff. I dig it anyway. Thanks!
