Same thing. When I used to race, I used the automatic and was just transitioning gears. The future is public transportation. 1 person in a car is like 1 person on a train, however in reality public transportation saves more land. Ho Chi Minh once said when he dies, cremate his body to save land.
Get your Mind out of the gutter and embrace a way of shifting cars quickly. Post videos of your own before you can start arguing with people you 16 sixteen-year-old wannabe. In the muscle car world, the fastest shifter is a ratcheting shifter.
I just turned 17 and I run in amateur races all over the country with my manual transmission car. I just wish you muscle car enthusiasts would stick to the basics. Muscle cars were never about precision or handling, they were about brute power with sexy looks to boot. To me, paddle shifters do not seem right in a muscle car, and any true muscle car guy will tell you to give him a manual transmission before a stupid ratchet shifter with dumb paddles.
In the seventies, nobody gave a Damn about Cornering, so why build a car that's capable. Right now, that's not the case. If you ask me, I think it would be badass Stiffen up a 70' Buick GSX Stage 1 and convert to aluminum everything. I'm not saying that a Muscle car has bad handling to begin with, but it's awesome to take something to a degree that shits on everybody else's stuff. Then go take it to some raves and show up all the assholes that Muscle cars suck.
The Future should see Push Button Shifting. Paddle shifters are confusing.
