they designed the car like this so it gets better weight distribution in the WRC. they were not copying they were using physics so they can go faster in the WRC. Its too bad though that Subaru pulled out of the WRC because of the economey of japan

If you want looks then go buy a Ferrari or something but when you take that badass looking Ferrari on snow ur gonna be wishing you had a Subaru. the STi can go fast on snow and not get stuck. They made the hatch design so that it would appeal to women, performance has nothing to do with it. Because of the hatch design it suffers from more oversteer than any of the previous models.

Well, for Subaru it's not about the looks. Never quite has been. Subaru has the best AWD system for it's class and they are overall very good cars to drive. Very well balanced and comfortable. Subaru delivers 100% product for the price.

I just attended a pre-LA Auto Show event in Irvine where the '08 STi was revealed. Don't judge the way it looks until you see it in person. The alcantara interior is particularly nice. The Subie reps said three trim levels with base price just under $35k, 305hp, six speed, adj diff, a-arm rear susp., Brembo brakes, nav, stability control. The car in this video looks like it is understeering, but road tests in the next month or two should reveal all.

I hate how the Impreza's design is changed every two or three years. It makes the older models less valuable. You can hardly sell them anymore if you own one. Just take a look at what Ducati or Porsche are doing. They sometimes let their succesful models go 10 years without changing a whole lot. That's what makes you want to own one - no need to worry about reselling it.
