Next to WAIATA, TIME & TIDE was my second fave Split Enz album...I guess one could say TIME & TIDE was something of Sgt. Pepper because of the idea it was a concept album with the theme being nautical.

That's a good question, mmmbopmmmbop. I was just wondering that myself. I'm really surprised there wasn't a video for "Hard Act To Follow". It wasn't even released as a single! I'm surprised because that totally could have been a hit.

Damn straight this should have been on the DVD! It's no more emmbarresing than any other vid they made - the more spastic and random the better, i say. There's a whole bunch of hidden shit on the DVD you get to via the split enz badges on the menus, like the "Things" video, but never found this! Sure it looks cheap, but like the "Lovey Dovey", "I See Red" and "Sweet Dreams" clips, the cheapness is half the charm.

Time and Tide was perhaps the best all-around album they made. I loved the way that Take a Walk merged into Pioneer,6 months in a leaky boat and then Haul away. The whole second side of the LP was incredible.

I own the Lp (yes, that would be vinyl) from which this song came. I could have cared less what the video looked like (we didn't have MTV in our area, so I didn't know anyway.) I just liked the song. And I still do. :-)

apparently they left this off the dvd because they thought it was embarrassing...which is a great pity, because yes it is weird even by Enz standards, but it's a bit of history! :D Tim's hair is just mindboggling.

Oh and Neil's outift from this video is on display at the Hard Rock Cafe in Surfer's Paradise, Australia. I saw it when I went on holiday there this year :D

ummm.... this is nowhere near as bad as I was expecting it to be....(from what I've read elsewhere...I quite enjoyed it!!) however, Tim could've done with a haircut....not saying its too long, but the excess clippings could have been used for loft insulation for low income households!
