Dude, I struggle the same way to sync. But, there is an easier way to do it. I remember recently getting this video editing software called Magix movie editor which allows you to record and play a video or audio at the same time. So if you have headphones, record away. Only problem, is you might not be able to film yourself while you play.

i used to play the alto but i got switched to tenor and in my opinion the tenor is better you should try it when you get the chance

For the sax, if you look closely I have headphones connected to the laptop (metronome click) and I listened to my own playing for the piano part
