@jblcrown Ever heard of dynacord and EV. Have you EVER listened to EV speakers??? EV and Dynacord are fantastic. ALL dynacord amps are made in germany. JBL eons are terrible. Their high end stuff isn't bad but EV are still better. Dynacord and EV all the way
Was a CERTIFIED Rigger used? that truss is a nightmare waiting to happen! its put together wrong. Every Connection point should form a triangle. otherwise you lose between 35% and 45% of its horizontal strength at every joint.
@ 5:32 the guy climbing on the truss would be fired in my company for screwing around like that. Its so un professional. imagine if a staff member had seen that. it would have looked really bad on you!
@bandit012339 hate to break it to yea, but that guy was the owner haha.... Ever hear of having a good time bud? Yes, professionalism is always preffered, but it doesn't mean you need to walk around with an erect back and your pinky up....
@ffemtdeg39 Hey, most amps have unpowered XLR outs. So you can go from one amp with a simple XLR cable into a second amp. and so on. greetz from Germany
Hey guys...just wanna say im 20 and im investing ariund 20,000 in a full lighting rig..that being said ima promoter and i started when i was 17 throwimg raves..3 years
All i can say is very poor investing, sub par sound equipment, amount of trussing is unnecessary, he uses CD's, and he doesn't even have any nice light fixtures. I work for a dj who is 17, we have over $70,000 in equipment that we have invested in over 8 years, and we know how to invest right. I mean when we have 2 250mw lasers and a 1.5 watt full color laser along with 4 martin mac 250s, a wizard, and 2 mania 550s. 6 jbl eons + 2 1000w jbl subs. We invest right
@Justinr1993 do you really? Investing every penny and investing right is totally different things, $70000 is an impressive sum of money but tell me this, if you had spent half that would you be half a dj? No you wouldnt you would be a dj with the right setup now thats real investing
If bought new, I know you'd be looking at a few thousand pounds for the trussing, 10k on all his speakers, processing, amps and cabling, 4k for the scanners and obviously even more considering the LED lights, smoke machines, bubble machine, projectors and screens. Nevermind what that is in US dollars - I mean he said he was paying $800 for a case for one bubble machine.
If he really is 19, he's not paid for it, unless someone's bought it for him.
not hating dude but at 19 years old how you buying all that stuff? i got holes in my socks older than you. your credit at 19 can't be all that good, so i have to narrow it down to a very supportive daddy. dude that old man really loves you, god bless.
I really like your set up guys, one thing i saw was though is your truss is put together wrong. at the points where you make the connection with the next truss the bars don't make a triangle. which now becomes your weak point and you can see when the camera has a wide shot that the truss bows a little,
just thought i would share that with you but really cool set up again :)
wow. He would have to basically do a show almost every night or charge an arm and a leg to pay for that set up. So awesome.. but to me a little overkill.
Wow you've got to be kidding me. this is way to much for a simple high school prom/dance. Ive seen djs do these things with house speakers. This stuff would be nice to have but it's to much. It's the person who makes the DJ not the equipment that people dont even notoce. and whatever happend to mobile djs
how much top cabs did you use for this gig? cause i can see 6 (double 18 inch??) bass cabs and just 2 small top cabs on tripods, where did you hide the other tops?:p
A few of you say that its way too much for a school dance? I actually disagree....obviously if you have so much equipment, then its cause you either have the money, or you have enuff gigs to pay for everything. Another thing is you get what you pay for...if the school pays a good amount of money for something like this then why not put it all up? So...do what you gotta do! I myself have been doing this for 8 yrs now...and its good money...keep it up...
Congratz man tell crash I have nothing but respect because more and more people have stopped caring about giving the client everything you have performance wise even if it takes more time just because you care about peoples entertainment! Big props to you man if i ever had a gig that large i would try and go as big as you did!
lol nice dj shit but kum on its a lil to fukin much and especially for a school dance i got a big dj system to but like sum 1 told me its not the shit u got its the music u play n how u play it so relax mobil dj lol
ok the truss system is safe for all of u "experts" those stands are made to support that kind of system. i would agree on one thing though. its a little too spread apart but its still safe non the less.
awesome set up for a small school event though wish our schools had that kind of money.
Yeah man really nice setup but i must say... if this wasnt AT LEAST a $1800 job then why bother with all that overkill.. Not hatin' my man but i've always had a philosophy, the more they pay the more stuff i bring... But i always rock the house none the less!.. peace out and keep up the good work.
ok..I have a question...WHY!??..its nice equipment but you can see his age in what he is doing. ..totally overkill. 50G's in rig and probably only making a couple hundred bucks..I'm not hating at all..I have the equivelent but in JBL and Crown but I do alot of big venues..I provide sound for bands..there is just no sense bring that big a rig to this kind of event..vert nice though..good luck..
This is not safe at all. he needs to move the stands in and nock off at least 2 sticks of that truss. even if he has to do what the rest of us do with screens, put them on another stand IE: Daylite. then they can be moved if need be.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow

Most Engineered truss is good for 40 foot spans @ 1000 lbs @ 2 inches of sag.
This is almost 90 ft of Global Truss supported at two points. It already weights 500 pounds by itself, and then add the fixtures. According to GT a evenly loaded span of 40 feet will actually sag about 5 inches.
hello! I want to know whatever receive to pass music in a wedding thus. thank you very much. it is only by curiosity. in order to compare with Argentinean
wtf look how it bends! I don't need to post a proper rigging video to tell you that this is a big fail! Tell you friend to never do that again, this is risking the life of people!
theres a text message program availible called, firetext, and with that you can set filters to block out words that you type and you if you type * after the word then anything beggining with that word will be blocked from showing. also u can set it so everytime you receive a txt the message will apear on your laptop screen, you have to click aprove to send it to the big screen. firetext works by connecting to a cell phone so cost to txt is only standard rate!
we use like 8 or 9 bubble master 2000 in our shows where i work..sucks cleaning all them out...also use 4 martin mac 2000. countless cyberlights half which need repair...
all I can say is that you or you friend has the most awesome and louder speakers.....lol... those EV mtl-1x are the best... thats what I use too.. have 6 of them and geting 2 more next month...
Thats what the plan is for me from now on. I have learned more since this show that I was at. When I went here this time it was my first experience with global truss or with any kind of large scale truss rigging. Thanks for the tips!
Tell me where were you taught proper rigging? that length of truss there with only two supports is so dangerous i wouldn't even go by it. You can even see it bending from improper support. Most truss companies have about a 40' distance max between supports but that's with reduce weight limits then, generally 30' between supports is what my work does and many others.
First This isn't my show!!! Also I didn't go to "school" for it. However, I have learned since this what is safe and what isn't. Would I be the guy to rig something for Britney Spears?? Nope, however I will be able to show the mobile DJ and small Live production guy what is safe and what isn't. If you have a correct way to do it please post some video's on it. I am not claiming to be an expert but I can rig something like this properly with what I have been taught and my limited experience.
aright im 20 years old im a dj and i work for 2 very large lighting and sound companies, the way that truss is set up is highly unsafe if osha came in the would get fined.i dont think there is enof knowlage in this company to be doin events this big
That Atomic is the 1500watt version, and that truss span doesn't look to safe... tip to the "rigger" don't put the stands right on the end... haha 2:23 you can already see the truss sag
I agree with the span but the atomix was the 3000 wat version. I think he was running it from 110 power source which would only give him 1500 watts. If he hooked it into 220 then he would have 3000 watts.
nope, it is a 1500watt, there are 2 versions you can have the 200v-240v or the 100v-120v, they use different bulbs the easiest way to tell if its a 1500watt or 3K is to look at the blub... the 1500watt will be shorter and you can see the "sockets" or whatever you want to call them, holding the blub from either side ( 3:13 )
, on a 3K version you will not see that... the blub is longer and goes from one side to the other.
Awesome setup! Lots of work, but I'm sure the pay off it worth it. If you're still looking into text software for your screens. I would suggest checking out Fire Text. I've been using it for about a yr at nightclubs, bars, school dances, and medium concert venues. All you need for school dances is someone to monitor the software and approve what gets sent to the screen. Best of all, you get everyones number for ad purposes if needed. Check it out.
Nice vid, thanks for sharing with us. I miss those good ole days doing the large productions. Check out the vids I left in your video response section.
oh that bubble macheine was from Le Marte or somethin like that. they r really expensive. and if the bubble mach is 500m away and u need to control it...
oh my god i think i just had a heart attack.. alot of money thats all i had to say.. i think we all have the goal one day to become where he's at lol, thanks for sharing!
I think he still has somethings to get as in lights for under a $1000 he could have got some led lights or something that would have filled the room more
Damm... I hate to see that credit card bill. LOL... That is far from mobile but I love it. More Power Urrrgggg!!!! Moving heads have to be the next addition to that System. Can't wait to see more. Thanks Zman for sharing.
19 years old and he already has his "gear whore" card...well done. All that money wrapped up in gear, I wonder how old he will be when he reaches his break even point.
way to big of a setup, I think personally, are these guys MOBILE DJ's or a production company? A lot can get done with a lot of people helping setting up. Great rig, but I think wayy to much work, and money spent on that stuff they have. NO MOVING HEAD LIGHTING???
That's incredible. But lets all take this into perspective. What was that, 4 people setting up? How much overhead is invested in that company? How much profit is left at the end of the night verses the amount of work.
While impressive, I don't know if I'd want to gig like that regularly.
I am in the same boat as you Cyro. but it was fun to tag along for a night. Not something I would build for a school dance though. Maybe if I owned a production company.
You'd be surprised. A show like you see above doesn't leave the warehouse for less than $2,800 (first time rate). At that price, you can afford to pay staff.
That has to be the most amazing mobile rig i have EVER seen in my life! How much would you say all his gear is worth ?? lol id say way more than id earn in a year anyway lol
That truss needs bracing.... Please put at LEAST two more cranks on there. This just looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen

Rigging Fail!
Chrispy1990 2 years ago
Thats what the plan is for me from now on. I have learned more since this show that I was at. When I went here this time it was my first experience with global truss or with any kind of large scale truss rigging. Thanks for the tips!
Zman87gt 2 years ago
Because there is to much deflection (movement) in the truss at that length. I'll do a video on proper rigging in the next week or so.
Zman87gt 2 years ago
Tell me where were you taught proper rigging? that length of truss there with only two supports is so dangerous i wouldn't even go by it. You can even see it bending from improper support. Most truss companies have about a 40' distance max between supports but that's with reduce weight limits then, generally 30' between supports is what my work does and many others.
wyan17 2 years ago
First This isn't my show!!! Also I didn't go to "school" for it. However, I have learned since this what is safe and what isn't. Would I be the guy to rig something for Britney Spears?? Nope, however I will be able to show the mobile DJ and small Live production guy what is safe and what isn't. If you have a correct way to do it please post some video's on it. I am not claiming to be an expert but I can rig something like this properly with what I have been taught and my limited experience.
Zman87gt 2 years ago
Um the idea is good but for the love of fucking god rethink your truss. Its not safe and if you were smart you would change that!!

Zman87gt 2 years ago
aright im 20 years old im a dj and i work for 2 very large lighting and sound companies, the way that truss is set up is highly unsafe if osha came in the would get fined.i dont think there is enof knowlage in this company to be doin events this big

That Atomic is the 1500watt version, and that truss span doesn't look to safe... tip to the "rigger" don't put the stands right on the end... haha 2:23 you can already see the truss sag
LDGod 3 years ago 2
I agree with the span but the atomix was the 3000 wat version. I think he was running it from 110 power source which would only give him 1500 watts. If he hooked it into 220 then he would have 3000 watts.
Zman87gt 3 years ago
nope, it is a 1500watt, there are 2 versions you can have the 200v-240v or the 100v-120v, they use different bulbs the easiest way to tell if its a 1500watt or 3K is to look at the blub... the 1500watt will be shorter and you can see the "sockets" or whatever you want to call them, holding the blub from either side ( 3:13 )
, on a 3K version you will not see that... the blub is longer and goes from one side to the other.

Damn, I learn something new every day. Thanks!

thats good to know, I have a 1500w strobe and can now see what kind of damage it can do ;)

Do you call taht a huge setup?!!
lighttech258852 3 years ago
Considering Huge is a relative term, Yes. Now would I say "Huge setup for Brad Paisley", then No
Zman87gt 3 years ago
Here in Denmar... We do school party a lot bigger, with more lights!
lighttech258852 3 years ago

lighttech258852 3 years ago
That would be cool!
Zman87gt 3 years ago
Du u have a mail?
lighttech258852 3 years ago
Awesome setup! Lots of work, but I'm sure the pay off it worth it. If you're still looking into text software for your screens. I would suggest checking out Fire Text. I've been using it for about a yr at nightclubs, bars, school dances, and medium concert venues. All you need for school dances is someone to monitor the software and approve what gets sent to the screen. Best of all, you get everyones number for ad purposes if needed. Check it out.
Again, very nice!

I think he still has somethings to get as in lights for under a $1000 he could have got some led lights or something that would have filled the room more

19 years old and he already has his "gear whore" card...well done. All that money wrapped up in gear, I wonder how old he will be when he reaches his break even point.
DJOmega80 3 years ago
Yeah it took me until I was 28 to get my gear whore card ;) and I still have alot of catching up to do.
Zman87gt 3 years ago
dayem how much charged for that gig? 0_o
mfuji00001 3 years ago
way to big of a setup, I think personally, are these guys MOBILE DJ's or a production company? A lot can get done with a lot of people helping setting up. Great rig, but I think wayy to much work, and money spent on that stuff they have. NO MOVING HEAD LIGHTING???
portnoyfan521 3 years ago
That's incredible. But lets all take this into perspective. What was that, 4 people setting up? How much overhead is invested in that company? How much profit is left at the end of the night verses the amount of work.
While impressive, I don't know if I'd want to gig like that regularly.
DJCyRo 3 years ago
I am in the same boat as you Cyro. but it was fun to tag along for a night. Not something I would build for a school dance though. Maybe if I owned a production company.
Zman87gt 3 years ago
You'd be surprised. A show like you see above doesn't leave the warehouse for less than $2,800 (first time rate). At that price, you can afford to pay staff.

This by the way is the Gentlmen that had this rig ^^

crazy setup

wholy shit huge setup, looks like he used almost half the gym just for equipment!
RockTheHouse4 3 years ago
Wow, I'm sure he charged a pretty penny for that.
I wish at least one 1/4 of the schools we visit had the bubget this school has.
BlacRiot 3 years ago 2
I am totally surprized that they had the budget for it. They also wanted to sign a 3 year contract for all of their dances during that time.
Zman87gt 3 years ago
How much would you have to charge in order to justify a rig like that?
DJ Maverick
djmaverick 3 years ago
$2800 to start... $3800 to bring it back. Might seem like a lot... but after teardown, it seems just about right!
yournextdj 3 years ago
Wow...that looks great (and expensive)!!!! I hope my set-up will be that intense by the time I'm 19.
djdice19 3 years ago
Yes i do agree. The live shot at the end was a bit of a tease. Lets see more action, lol!!

sleeperawaken36 3 years ago
Yeah it should be up tonight yet
Zman87gt 3 years ago
wow that is the best ever rig ive ever seen looks confusing but its sooo cool if its $800 for a case the rest of the rig would cost over $9000
patrickman123 3 years ago
I think all the trussing alone was about $9000
Zman87gt 3 years ago
yer that sounds bout right
martin0mac2000 2 years ago
