Excellent videos mate. Im on day 6 and the thing I constantly notice is the crave is like a hunger, which is the chemical addiction thats becoming less and less, and then I have a mental reminder for that feel good relax euphoric feel. Ive been doing lots of exercise and drinking coffee (not a coffee drinker normally), eating chocolate, eating spicey foods, forcing myself to smile, having lots of sex, all means of releasing endorphins. I still have that little devil in the back :(
@dawidmurray Nice Work! 6 days is great! Seems like you've got your head in the right place. I'm at 8 months and still notice the little devil, but the more padding between you and day one, the more in control you'll be. Hang tight and things will get easier. You're going to be a lot better off!
Allen Carr.... the one thing i really took away from him was what you said in a previous video: that nicotine does absolutely nothing for me. I totally get that now. Ironic that it's so addictive as it is the most BORING drug in the world. Does NOTHING for you once your hooked. NOTHING. No good feeling from nicotine. ONly BAD feeling of constant withdrawal between hits
Hello I am on day #7, days 1-3 were no problem but these last 2 were a bear. I did go and walk a mile today around this track using my walkman and i made a cassette tape of all my favorite songs. and I reward myself and drink lots of water and gert plenty of rest. Right now i am still nervous but know it will pass.
@jgossey2002 Nice work! I like the idea of rewarding yourself and taking good care of yourself. Just remember that you won't feel this way forever. At a certain point it feels really natural and easy. Months from now you'll be thankful that you found the strength to do it!
@jmanjarebear I'll be starting my 4th day in a few hours. Your videos offer a great look into the world of quitting. Its nice to know what ups and downs to prepare for :)
@xMidnightGamer It's called "The Easy Way to Stop Smoking" by Allen Carr. You can find it used on sites like amazon.com for a decent price. When you get it, tell him he has nothing to lose. Either the book will help him quit smoking, or he'll go on being a smoker and have read the book.... it's worth a shot!
hey man im 21 and im quiting smoking ive been smokin for 2 years and im soo excited as i am smokin my last ciggrett of my life and ur my inspireation to do it and thanks to you ik i can do it and i cant thank you enough:)
