I have a better idea, make a whole new league of about ten teams from accross the country like the A league, the NBL, or like the CFL in Canada. Could have envolded from the state of orgin matches so it was possible. Then have the VFL and VFA merge or have a 2nd tier national league with the V leagues, SANFL, WFL, etc. THATS what should have happened, not the AFL which is really a joke of a Victorian league with a few out of state teams. Australia should have it's own league,not take Victoria's!

This is actually a really good effort I think, you can see the roots of the two songs. Only problem is a couple of awful seems where you can tell they didn't know how to jump between the two. ie:

@L31B0 It was actually because of Melbourne's 1990s downfall but large financial support and Hawthorn's 1990s (I wouldn't say greatness but they were alright) but weak financial support. In a vote in 1996 most of the melbourne supporters voted in favour of the merge but 80% of hawks supporters voted against it so thats why it didn't take place.

Oh and Melbourne are a better team? Just cast your mind back to the previous 8 times we've played you. You've beaten us once.

@hawksrule2012 I'd have to dig out my merger info kit but they essentially sold it to us as we were going to be the stronger merger partner because we didn't have debt and Hawthorn did (from memory) - hence why it was the Melbourne Hawks and the jumper was a Melbourne jumper with a Hawk on it. Something like that - whole thing was a farce anyway, our vote was rigged to favour the merger (allegedly if any lawyers are listening).
