You can host your own server, and people wont be able to see the mod, but everyone is affected by it (they wont know, but everyone will be shooting the special needler). The process of modding has to do with editing a map file on YOUR computer. You cannot just enter someone's server and expect the host's map file to change to exactly how yours is, though you will still see it the same way you do on your own server.

People can "see" speed mods when hosting your own server (such as vehicles or people running faster), but their halo map file says "Oh no! We shouldn't be running this fast!" and it makes them see people walking at the normal speed, BUT, because people go to locations faster than they normally do, people sort of look like they "warp forward". Its hard to explain.

One more thing, any mods with additional weapons, vehicles, and items will crash a person's halo if they don't have the map file in their halo map folder (where all the maps are located) this map folder is located in the place where halo was installed, normally My Computer, Local Disk (or what hard drive you installed halo on), Program files (or program files x86 if you have vista), Microsoft Games, and then the Halo folder. Also, adding NEW maps is not possible in regular halo.

It is possible for Halo Custom Edition though, and entirely different tools are used for modding/making maps. You can get it at hcedothalomapsdotorg (Dots as in periods, this dot right here .) You will also need to get winzip, winrar, or 7-zip and learn how to use them if you want to add additional maps. If you get or have xfire, a gaming communication program, add gallavant123 as a friend. You can get xfire at xfiredotcom

Ironman used computer. I don't think you can get the hacks to the xbox.

you can get the xbox chipped, then USE the computer to make the mods from copying a halo xbox disk, then burn onto another disk and insert into xbox :)

if you want to know how to put a mod into your game, you simply put the modded map into your halo pc maps directory.

Ya True true but ya u have 2 figure out the limits if u mod a lot. Like just sugesting that if u make the warthog or scorpion a pelican/drop ship it will fly. :D Also im going 2 post a video of my mods soon. And also u can switch the bitmaps 2 get some good combos like try switching the health pack bitmap with the ghost bitmap. The ghost looks like an Ambulence :P.
