hey you know alot about this skater???do ya??? well she is my step sister!!!! yes its true!!!! while the 2008 Olympics were on it just reminded me of her..so i looked her up on here!!! what a honor it is to find this!!! I'm so proud of her!!!! and what a trip to actually see her skate go Sis!!!!!!!!-respectfully Joshua Holmes
i love the inside double axel!!! she is a really strong skater! does anyone know how inside axels are given points today? i wanted to put one in my program but one of my coaches wasnt sure about how it would be viewed and the points it would be awarded...
She's my former coach. she coached in escondido a few years. she's an awesome skater back then. if some of you don't know, she got 4th in the olympics. Go Julie!!!!
Julie Lynn was an excellent skater who skated both in the shadows of Janet Lynn and her coach's former pupil, Peggy Fleming. She was athletic and possessed an excellent command of the ice.
Lovely performance, good speed, flow, and ease on the ice. I dont think you can compare the jumps done than to now, the only thing technically i think she can do better regardless of time, are her spins are weak.
mmmmmm....that was mean!! She would also have WON the 1960 World Senior title with that! We have learned a lot about jumping technique since 1969. I hope you noticed the girl is enjoying skating to beautiful music. We don't often see that these days! and i haven't seen an inside double axel in 30 years or more. Skating today is just a freak show that only 12 year olds can do....what's so great about three revolutions in a jump, rather than two!
I miss this kind of skating...

The inside Axel will count as an Axel-type jump. So if you're limited as to how many Axels you can do, this counts towards it.

i actually liked watchin this... usually skaters from "back then" don't capture my attention. really no spins though! And no shaky landing at all!!!
