@anetalovejb when you're done using it all you do is flush it down the toilet! But unless the applicator is cardboard you have to throw out the applicator but cardboard is fine to flush!

@hbowen999 you should never go over four hours without changing your tampon. if you're at school, your teacher should always let you go to the bathroom if you just mention that it is something personal you really need to take care of. As far as carrying them around, I usually just keep them in the little side pocket in my purse, and take my purse to the bathroom. They make little tampon bags also, in the tampon aisle! You could also get the mini ones, after you have practiced with regular ones.

@SierraJoy13 the mini ones are really small, and when you're ready to use it, you just extend it, then push it back in like a regular tampon. I like to use these because they're less noticeable when you don't have a purse you can just stick it in your pocket and it's not noticeable. Hope I helped!

for the record, it's probably a better idea to throw tampons in the trash (or in the box in a public restroom) as opposed to flushing them - just because some toilets aren't as good as others and you run the risk of clogging the toilet. Luckily this has never happened to me, but I've had friends who've clogged a public restroom and the poor janitor had to use a plunger and what did he find? - a tampon. Out of courtesy of whoever's going to fix the problem (like your dad), I say throw it out. :)

Tampons don't hurt coming out unless it's still really dry which won't happen if you leave it in long enough and use the right absorbency. She only keeps it in for 2 hours so it's no wonder it hurts
