Here is a trick that I use that may help you with that ruffle twisting issue. Save a card board tube from your toilet paper or paper towel. Wind the ruffle needed for the whole project up on the tube straighting it as you wind. Then set the tube in your lap or infront of the machine as you sew and it will stay twist free
