Although I have not seen episode 3, I have heard that Leia's eyes were open. That would, along with her force sensitivity (she must be strong too because she is also the offspring of Anakin Skywalker) explain the images, and the feeling because she can use the force.

So even though Padme died just moments after giving birth, Leia was able figure out all this stuff about her mother.

Also, why the hell didn't Luke remember anything? He was born first, thus knew her for just a few seconds longer

@mooseasaurusrex If you look at all the star wars movies, you will realize that Leia and Lukes Aunt are the only real women in the series. All the other women in the series are strip dancers or "sluts". Therefore, we can safely say that George Lucas is sexist, and that is the reason why there isn't a story for Leia.

@aKhS767 George Lucas is not a sexist. In the first 3 movies there is Queen Amidala and also Anakin's (Darth Vader) mom. He developed Queen Amidala in 3 movies and you got to know her. Also, it would be pretty wimpy if there was a girl jedi. And my last fact is that Lucas wrote scripts for a 7th, 8th, and 9th movie, but he decided it was bad so he didn't release the movies into the public. Therefore, Gearge Lucas is not sexist.
