People are influenced by what they see. I happen to know first hand from experience.
Speaking of Nazi's. They were the first to put subliminal messages in their war propaganda and many of the recruitment films Germany used during the second world war are still banned to this day because of subliminal messages.
I remember a few years ago 2 fellows I knew that were friends started beating each other up and ripping each others hair out after watching "The Warriors" while they were drunk.
