Wow... I must have had a bad day when I wrote that comment because I really ripped into you. Sorry about that, I tend to post without thinking and I come across much more antagonistically than I mean to. It's mildly irritating when someone calls something retro when it's barely a generation old, but that's no excuse for talking to someone like that especially when you actually did a decent job of reviewing the game. Hopefully you'll not have any hard feelings.

Despite Kill Zone's flaws, I found this to be a very enjoyable shooter. It's far from perfect, but it had a fun storyline, innovative game play (allowing you to choose a different character to play as prior to each chapter kept things interesting) and a fairly complete online mode that worked very well (for those who didn't have PS2 back in the day, online gameplay THAT WORKED WELL or was even somewhat populated was a rarity).

@MastahSkittlez No this game is good but black is much better, black; is faster paced, more of a shooter. Killzone has a good storyline but the glitches and the lack of ablity from the ps2 makes the game lag often.

@MastahSkittlez While Black isn't as elaborate as KZ, I preferred that game over KZ. KZ2 is WAY better than both though (if you have a PS3).

@phildo I address that pretty early on in the review. Like I said I didn't feel entirely "ethically" comfortable calling it a review but I did feel that I spent enough time with the game (somewhere between 18-20 hours) to be able to talk about the core mechanics and what I had seen.

Great Game...loved it, people said things like "the reloading of the weapons took too long" and same with switching between weapons. I thought the weapons were good, granted killzone 2 has more variety, but killzone's weapon reloading times were realistic, and as for switching between, well if your in dust you gotta keep your weapon from jamming. All in all great game, realistic weapons, has its faults, but can be overlooked for its realistic graphics and great story line

this game just gets sort of a bad review because its a game that challenges you and people dont like that most people just want to find the easy way out. this is a 2004 game but its good enough to be like a 2007 or 8 shooter game
