@kenziespierrot Well the original writer did start out with Akari, but later on in the series he found out that he had pretty much no idea about what to do with her... so instead of just putting her away he made her into a joke character that's constantly made fun of for being ordinary and unnoticeable. Eventually the focus shifted to Kyouko being the main character.
