Lenny Kravitz was accused of not having his own style. In his early days I'd agree. He borrowed much from The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, and others. This, for instance, is pure early '70s funk, while "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over" sounds like the kind of soul/funk/disco that was popular in the late '70s.

He may not have had his own style, but the styles he borrowed showed that he had great taste.
