  • Not much has changed in 25 million years...

  • hey i have a question how expensive is this school ?

  • @MahamBerry Hi, you can find information about the costs of our programs at vfs(dot)com/admissions. Thanks!

  • @MahamBerry like 70k for the yr

  • @Drastic1586 Tuition costs vary depending on whether you are an international student, and on which program you're interested in. However, VFS doesn't have any programs that cost $70,000. If you'd like more information on tuition costs, you can visit this page: vfs(dot)com/admissions/international/start-dates-and-tuition

  • @VancouverFilmSchool o thats my fault closer but highest is 52 in us currency how can someone from us go to school in canada?

  • @Drastic1586 The best thing you can do is speak with an Advisor. They have a ton of information that would help you out. You can reach an Advisor here: vfs(dot)com/speak-to-advisor

  • this is pixar style quality.great work!!!!how did u come up with the idea.

  • Hey, this reminds me of the first night of Minecraft!

  • What a great Film :)

  • This is a classic study in sound making or breaking a film. I have seen this animation with other sound tracks, and this one is by far the best.

  • 3:54 whats the name of that song? i like it

  • This is one of my overall top favorite VFS videos now :)!

  • das schade dass die panorama und esthetik nicht in andere, lange metrage

  • So, now we know the truth why women like diamonds.

  • that was great

  • 4:26 did that bear just piss O.O

  • @kaberichatterjee1 thats what it looks like:O

  • Pretty amazing! Full feature film plz!!! =P

Soon I'll be able to do that as well! ^^

I attend a VFX school in Los Angeles and I've actually been to Blur. Amazing studio! =)

  • Men control the world but women control the men

  • awesome ending

  • How to get married:D

  • i loved that vid!

  • why does this video have so few vieuws when its so epic and easy to find?

  • 3:16 LMFAOOOOOOO

  • okay...I was just wondering, is there any why i can use my 2d drawing skills in 3d modelling?

  • @menotspeakenglish 2D drawing skills are a good foundation to move into 3D animation and modeling from. We will often recommend that our students spend some time learning these fundamental skills before beginning a program in 3D. Thanks!

  • @menotspeakenglish Jeah, because for example in After Effects by Adobe, you can use Photoshop layers as "3D objects" ;-)

  • I think this video reinforces negative stereotypes of men having to put themselves in harms way for women and provide them with gifts in order to be accepted. Other than that Great animation and sound. I love the smoking volcano at the beginning.

  • @Parley454 haha i couldn't agree with you more

  • All around a great film. A lot of the time there is an imbalance between the visual and the sound, but in this both were high quality. :D

  • the best from vfs

  • love it !!! :D

  • Nice and Fun! Enjoy it!

  • THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!!......2 THUMBS UP!

  • 3d's max or maya were used for this animation, and the sound, well the sound was great.

  • In The Rough a good video. Once again we see cave-dweller be used for those sensitive issues, as other people get offended at being the embarrassment, even if it is true. The cave represents society, and here we got the outcast caveman trying to survive the wild. He found a status by defeating a monster (status diamond), thus was accepted back into society. Status is everything, to have status we need uncommon, as uncommon can indicate a skill, and in a skill it needs to be useful.

  • perfect just perfect

  • hahah, this was so cute!! i love it!!

  • Amazing:D

  • I wonder why all cave man are so fat

  • A laughed so hard at 1:40... :D

  • some one is gettin laid :D

  • show the diamonds , the bigger the better , it works everytime .

  • hahah this is too laughs :] lol

  • love it

  • LOL This is SOOOO Nice,Funny & True!!!!!BRAVO 10+

  • I wish my school had as much prestige as the Vancouver Film School.

I can imagine their teachers are all very familiar with all the latest programs,

not ones that are 4+ years old. Then they know how to use those programs thouroughly I"m sure. That is not the case at my school (T_T)

  • @LegendaryGoldDragon Thanks for your kind words! For information on our faculty, facilities, and more, please check out our website vfs(dot)com. Thanks!

  • @LegendaryGoldDragon VFS is really expensive and I think not everyone can afford it. In 3d animation it doesn't matter from what school you're from, it's all about your skills. So if your teachers aren't the best learn by yourself! There's tons of tutorials about 3d stuff on the net, there's also CG community and forums and so many media you can learn from, as well as people who are read to help you, give you feedback and answers.

If you really love 3d you have all the tools to become good!

  • very nice

  • impressive

  • The sound was excellent and really makes this a great experience. Loved it.

  • hm..which program should i use to make an animation like this ? :)

  • @menotspeakenglish Sorry, Blur Studio created the animation so we cannot confirm what programs were used.

  • @VancouverFilmSchool alright...but i have been "working" with 2D animation for awhile now, and i want to try out 3D, but i don't really know where i could get any 3D software that i could use...so i thought that you might know one....riiiight... ? :-)

  • @menotspeakenglish What we can tell you is our students primarily use Maya and/or XSI, along with Zbrush, Renderman, and others, depending on what they need to accomplish. At VFS our primary focus isn't on which software students use - we prefer to focus on teaching core skills and how to use software as a tool. If you are looking for a starting point, you should definitely check out Maya's free educational version of their software. Hope that helps!

  • @VancouverFilmSchool i will, thank you very much. VFS rules! :-)

  • @menotspeakenglish hm...i can only find a 30 days Maya trail...i guess i'll have to be a student to get the 6-months one.

  • @menotspeakenglish You can get free 3D software (excellent free software) from blender.org

I use it all of the time and you can see some of the results on my channel

  • @menotspeakenglish Not trying to step on any toes but you should check out blender at blender.com. It is free. Maya software is one of the best , however it can be a bit spendy once you get past the educational version.

  • @menotspeakenglish ops i said blender.com its blender.org

  • @menotspeakenglish

they used 3dsmax at the time i think, not they both use 3dsmax and xsi

  • @menotspeakenglish My friend animation like this one can be created with any high end 3D software. What you see cool is the skills of whoever make the animation. Maya is the standard in the industry followed by 3Dmax. If you are looking for employment you should aim to these two. Blender is as good as Maya and it is free. Lightwave, houdini are also good packages but none of them are free. Go to Blender site, check SINTEL, Big BUG BUNNY movies made with Blender.

  • @menotspeakenglish Please allow me to second your post VFS.

    @ Mento

Why not try a powerful program called Blender developed by BlenderFoundation. Yes, it is freeware. Also, try LuxRenderer for external renders. Like Blender, it is actually free.

As of my experience, Maya is not for beginner. And oh, you've been working with 2D. Then Maya might fit you. Usually, it is personal preference. But for the sake of vfx industry, it's maya.

    -Michael
