The more people who view it, the bigger the chances of OCC making money here at YouTube. But it ends in a couple hours , so you must do it NOW. TODAY !!!

    Thanks. You guys are great.

    Love Laura-Lee

  • Oh my godness :( I am definitely doing this next year

  • Wow.. this just gave me chills and got me all teared up. I did this last year with my family and will definitely be doing this again. Seeing this video makes me want to throw in some extra cash to go shopping for these children <3

  • This year our church is focusing on Haiti, but we also send to 100 other countries. Please consider sending a shoe box on-line--you can even track your box to see where it goes. Last year we received notes from several children that recieved a box. Our church was able to collect 1,025 last year, this year I am reaching out all over, not just through my church. The children of Haiti need to know they are loved and that we have not forgotten about them. Thank you and God Bless.

  • It's that time of year again! I am so excited!!! :-)

I have one box all ready to go but have until Nov.16th to put more together. It's so much fun! :-)

  • This video moves me very time. I watch it often regardless of the season. It is a reminder of how blessed I am and to pass that blessing on in any way possible. This is just one of many ways to touch peoples' lives. I am always finding things for my boxes throughout the year. So much fun and exciting to picture the faces of these children they reach. God you are good! May I never forget what You have done in my life and to pass it on! :)

  • I sent 2 boxes with my own finances, then my whole family did another one together. Then there was a program at my school where there were people who had the money, but didn't have the time to do the shopping. So I did the shopping for 2 more boxes, and the money was not worth just 2 boxes...but 3 more. So I did perhaps 6 shoeboxes in 2008. I want to do it again this year. I want to try sending 10. It is so wonderful! I hope to know one day who the boxes went to. God bless the children. :D

  • Love this video. Having had the privilege of being on teams that participate in these distributions, I know what hope these gifts bring to children who have very little hope in their desperate circumstances. Keep giving these shoeboxes, it does make a difference, one child at a time.

  • It says on the leaflet that they only include a Christian booklet where culturally suitable and presumably they wouldn't get through customs if it wasn't suitable anyway.

  • hi

I didn't hear much of bullying. In the house where i worked each child had his or her personal box so they were all proud on their own box. I didnt hear any bad stories from kids in the neighbourhood. Most of them did share their gifts and for sure some kids most have been jealouss on other kids, but thats normal i guess.

  • I think you make a point when you say that we shouldn't trying to push Christianity down the throats of other religions. But I think a box is a simple but big thing to show your faith in a practical way. I guess it is important to pray for the people who receive your box and bless them. The box itself is just a nice thing and many people received it without hearing a preaching about Christ. Also, many muslims think bad about christianity because of movies where people behave not to good.

  • Because in the west we say our countries are christian many muslims think that we live our faith as in movies. They are born religious and they can hardly understand we choose to have faith. And with this information you may imagine that a simple box with some toys and stuff is a good testimony. And I personally think that God is involved and He is working in the hearts of the receivers of the box, even though we will never know in which way.

  • hi

I used to live in a muslim-country. I worked there as a volunteer with handicapped kids who also received a box. It was so great!! Just to see those faces when they realise that this is a present for them, the kids were so happy!! Also children from the area received gifts. Most parents didnt mind that it comes from christians, they are happy to see their children happy with their little treasure. And who knows what God can do trough a little box??

  • Thank you for your comment. I'm glad to know that Muslim parents were not concerned. I have a fear that we Americans come across as trying to push Christianity down the throats of other God-fearing religions of the world. I also worry about problems that may arise because of bullying or jealousy. You didn't hear of any of that going on? I'm just curious.

  • Be careful not to confuse Allah with the God of the Bible-- they are not the same. God is God... Allah is not, neither is Muhammad a true representative of God. This may sound harsh, but I assure with the words of Christ Himself, "I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No man comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6. If Allah/Muhammad were another way, Jesus would have said so, but He did not do that. There is only one way of salvation-- through Christ Jesus.

  • I am a Christian, but I have to wonder what I would think if another religion were giving my child gifts and trying to introduce them to a religion that conflicted with my own beliefs. Can you imagine what the US would do if a Muslim country were sending Shoeboxes and comics promoting Islam to our children?

  • There's a true difference between sending the message that God/Jesus loves someone vs. trying to indoctrinate someone into the falsehoods of Allah, Muhammad, and Islam. Consider this part of the great commission given by Jesus to all of his disciples.

  • i will never support this organization. They force religion on children. Why not do something NICE without an ulterior motive.

  • check out the words to the song in this video

  • we dont know how fortunate we really are.

ive seen video's at skool like this.

and rite now my mates and i are putting together 10 boxes from our class - aiming to make 100 in our year group.

    good vid. touching. x

  • good stuff

  • I love this I just made a present for a girl and a boy

  • I'm doing 4 shoeboxes this year! It's so wonderful!

  • Yeah!

    Lets get involved...all for love!

  • Ahhh so sweet! I'm doing a shoebox this year :)

  • When I found out about this I was thrilled! This is a genius idea! :) When I packed my box the joy of knowing what I was doing for someone else was much stronger than unwrapping my own gifts. One of the first things I thought about on Christmas was How is my christmas child doing? and I wonder if she got her box yet? I still think of her. I am making more boxes this year and am very very very excited! :)

  • Remember God is with all. he loves everyone praise the lord AMEN

  • We have no idea how blessed we are until we see these children....I want to hold them in my arms and sing Jesus Loves YOU to them.

I am gathering items for my box this year. It's so much fun and imagining the reaction of those dear ones, but more importantly, these children's lives will and have been touched. Thank you Franklin Graham!! But most of all. Thank you Jesus. :)

  • i made 2 boxes this year in my class :)

  • AWESOME Adzy909!!!! :)

  • My tears came when I have seen this..It is an amazing thing to do!! May God help and bless every one that carries His message in places like this!

  • This is a fantastic ministry and what a beautiful way to show His love around the world.

  • love this much and it think about my friends

  • i did one of these boxes with my freinds and it was for a party and everytime i watch these videos i cry because i feel like im not doing enough and i just want to thank you for this video

  • I did six boxes.I hope the kids liked their gifts.

  • Though I'm not religious, I did a couple of shoeboxes this year - my mum did one of them. It makes me incredibly happy to know that these little gifts make little children like these shown in this video very happy.

Too many children who are far better off need to be shown these videos to realise that not having a X-Box 360 or Nintendo Wii is the end of the world. They should be able to appreciate the little gifts that are sent lovingly to them.

  • I totally agree with you ArdereWolf. You don't have to be "religious" to get something out of putting these boxes together. Alot of religious people don't understand the point but I've read alot of these posts and yours is the one that stuck out the most. You understand more than most religious people. I am a believer but I am not religious. So, thanks for sharing your thoughts b/c I can see that they are heartfelt. We can all make a difference. Take care! :)

  • Pray for your sins

    Pray with the priest

    Pray to the cross

    You pray to nothing

  • I did OCC a couple years ago, in my old youth group. This year my new youth group is also doing it and the people in church packed some boxes. It's awesome!

  • I helped packed boxes for operation Christmas child this year! It felt good

  • thats so sweet!!!

  • I pray that Michael W. Smith truely serves The God of Abraham.

  • this is a relpy to nazareth727, y do u pray that michael does truely serve the god of abraham, do u think michael doesnt truely serve the god of abraham???, he does for sure its a fact , cuz he would NOT go this far in the ministry , if he didnt , hes been in the ministry for 25 years now , and he still contines to be in the ministry and he is the most enduring and legendary christian artist , just sayin

  • love this video because it is like me it makes me think about others.

  • this is great and very encouraging and touching..michael is a blessing
