FSX Basics - Push Back and Rotate

Yep it works: Read people, read TFM :D : "You only need to press the 1 or 2 key just once. Depending on the angle of rotation it can take a few seconds before the turn begins so a little patience is needed."

@Dinosbacsi Pressing "CTRL+SHIFT+F1" will shut down engines. However, if you'll prefer to start your flights cold and dark, then load the default Cessna, shut down it's engine and turn off all switches. Right-click anywhere and un-tick hide menu bar, click flights and select save. Give it a name and tick Make this the default flight and click ok. Every other flight will start in cold & dark cockpit.

To reverse this, save default Cessna again with engine running and make it default.

if the shir+P (1 or 2) for rotation doesn't work, try and change the controls from shift+p to Ctrl+p this did it for me and now the turn (left and right) work just fine.

You don't need the rudder, just pressing 1 for left or 2 for right (after you pressing SHIFT+P).

@rewindablender press the 1 or 2 key immediately the pushback starts ortherwise it will not turn. Also sometimes you have to wait up to 5 seconds before the turn will begin after pressing 1 or 2.

Any definitive way to figure out what the variable for class is that fsx has set for a given plane than just using logic to guess and hope that's whats set for the plane in fsx?

I often doubt with GA and MIL aircraft add-ons, Im guessing the lotus L-39 is medium? as I sometimes get in trouble spawning on small parking ramps lol.

If you use rudder pedals you can turn using them, (linked to nose gear steering if available, (not on L-39) ) Not real world realistic but functional for fsx.

What I do is just shut off the engine fuel switch. Make sure you cut it off so no fuel can get to the engine. Then you can shut off the battery and generators etc.

Im not sure, once i have upgraded computer i will go on vatsim. You could probably go on "joyrides" at airports that are not busy, otherwise probably no.

vatsim is hard to learn at first. Make sure you have passed at lest the IFR checkrde on FSX and NEVER do a first flight on vatsim in a jet or fast aircraft it will make make it impossible.. No you cannot go for joy rides, everything has to be done properly.

Scenery and Autogen need to be set to at least 'Dense' in the settings. Also, You need to enable 'advanced animations' tick box in settings to see the jetways. If you don't have that option then you need to upgrade your graphics card.
