No version of this song could possibly surpass this one. The baritone voice of Ed Ames was rich and sonorous, and this is a great song to play in the nursery of a 6-year-old child to lull him or her to sleep.
I completely agree avatarbk. It is a truly beautiful, melodic song. It's one of those very few songs that instantly transports you. Like you get to share a great dream, even if only for a few minutes. Awesome.
Zerinity, the words and beauty of the music guide your video. You have done a very nice presentation here. The video does not distract but fills the imagination and calms the senses. Very well done! Thank you for the wonderful memory.
One of the best versions of the song. Theme from the 1960 musical "The Fantasticks".

Since Ed Ames was often cast as a Native American, is it too much to ask to try to remember them at least on Thanksgiving?

I'd sooner think about the poor turkeys, jerk. But that said, this record was gorgeous, and Ed
Ames one of the few singers who could enrich a listener with just the right blend of operatic
training and pop interpretation. At least, we meet musically. Apparently, you're only morally and ecologically out to lunch.
