In 1980, I could only afford to spend $250 on an amp for my band: An "OH" (Aug./65) Blackface Deluxe, all original. Thank God I was poor in those days!
Yesterday I had the chance to crank the deluxe at 6 at my appartment.... It was loud as hell... really!!!! The deluxe is not a practice amp for your living room ... its a loud tone monster ... at ten my eardrums would have to be... reinstalled............
with the "normal" channel selection on this amp(the one on the bottom left hand side of the screen), is that a straight clean channel nomatter how high its turned up? or does it distort like the vibrato channel?
This amp starts to break up at 4 (about). At 10 it is very distorted (and loud). Both channels break up. The vibrato channel has more bell like sparkle than the normal channel. This amp is superb. I own one.
Yes! That's too loud to play under natural saturation. I'ts beautiful, though. Your neighbours will complain, unless you live in the middle of nothing. You'd better move away... LOL
It is a Hamer Monaco Elite, I own one. SD pups are stock. Custom in the neck Custom Custom for the bridge. It is one sweet guitar. It kicks my Les Paul's ass.

the reissue fender champs suck! go to guitar center and play one and you'll see what i mean. if you really want a fender champ sound get a victoria 518 or 5112.
very cool

but, the guitar wasn't Fender :|

i think they'd settle for a Hamer instead of a Gibson. =P
telecastersRthebest 3 years ago
@AttackOfTheHugs No, it's a Hamer Monaco Elite. Fender owns Hamer, as they do with Guild, Gretsch, Tacoma, Jackson, Charvel, and others.

I own a twin reverb -- best amp for the money. I play blues - HEAVY metal and with my effects, it handles them great so any style is good thru it.
metlguitar02 3 years ago
ya thats what a like about fender...great blues and rock sound and with the right effect you can get even a heavy metal sound easily
Mojaja471 3 years ago
nice sound but i would like to hear some of the reverb and settings on the amp
