All I'm saying is that in college football teams rise and fall all the time. In the early 90s noone was calling themselves a USC fan, now all of a sudden people jump on a bandwagon. Why watch or search for the video if you hate ND so much? I never get it. People hate ND but always seem to reply or search for everything ND related. Nothing better to do?

It's a joke, more or less. An expression of the sense of rivalry. We have these same types of exchanges with the UCLA Bruins. For example, we could say that ND is the institutional version of Eliot Spitzer, in terms of the irony, self-righteousness, and hypocrisy (a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc. that one does not really possess) that we have observed, both on the ND campus and when you come to visit us in L.A.

i think the Americans can help us here. Since most of the Scots are of Irish descendants, this song would be exceptionaly appropriate. Its inclusive and can serve to be something to be proud of for the whole nation.
