  • THE ONLY PROBLEM ---NO ORIGINALITY TOO MUCH TRYING TO APE THE WEST

  • What's the name of the song that is right at the end?

  • @RhianKK Pii Pii, Msanii Marlaw kutoka Tanzania

  • The other thing is that most of the Americans in showbiz are paid to sing or perform. Most of these do not have and/or don't need university degrees. But there are people in the background - the producers, the directors are really good at the job. Many are not just in the biz to make a quick buck. Kenyan or African music almost always disappears once the artist is gone. I have for instance been scouring the net for some African music of the 80s but cant find it.!

  • Many of Kenya's musicians have at least a bachelor's degree - I hope the current ones still continue to read! In the U.S. many of them DO NOT have a bachelor's degree (and they struggle through life!!). People like Wahu, Eric Wainaina etc... are good examples.

  • Education is good but US is a PURELY capitalistic country whereby people are not judged by how many degrees you have but how much you make. NO country in the world will you ever find a TV anchor making $30million/yr or a billionare golfer = tiger woods age 33. 2) US gives people so many chances in life. U can mess up and still fix yourself later. MOST countries including Kenya you only get one shot in life if lucky two. U can take more risks in the US than Kenya

  • I agree with your theme, that the U.S. gives you many chances. But in the same vein, is both a chance for peril as well promise. That is why there are so many who have fallen below the cracks in the U.S. - if you live here you will know what I mean - but if you go to other socialist leaning countries, there is uniformity; longer lifespans; better health care; better education (for all- not just a few); better standard of living (overall); better public transport; few homicides etc...

  • you are totally right but the comparison you made of US and Kenya was not fair. US entertainment industry is the worlds best. Singing/rapping or acting is more about talent than education. I don't know how many US musicians, actors or rappers have degrees but almost all Kenyans listen to and buy American music than Kenyan music. sad but true

  • While the industry is big time here, many entertainers become wrecks - real train wrecks - abusing drugs, going to jail, dying early etc... perhaps because of lack of education? I don't know.

  • wahu1am very proud of u.for kenya is ma county my pride.keep up !!!i love ur songs very much.love u wahu..........

  • we need more artists with African ingenuity. 0:52 the lady says damn?copying the west blindly !!! 1:25 sounds African and it's good. Congolese music is purely African.i cannot understand a word they say but ni kiboko!!!

  • Kweli....all that aping...no wonder this music never goes further than ,being downloaded by a few Kenyans worldwide,...for the two weeks that it's vogue lasts

  • where is Kanye West when yu need him?

  • And that, is the Platinum hitting question

  • Wishin STL, Wahu N Nameless the best
