thanx for uploading, but does Barry know this has been uploaded, because some of his methods seem a bit 'dodgey'....levels, slewing as mentionned already and carrying those sleepers like that - can be done, and we'd all probably do something similar out on site as a quick fix , but it makes the machine VERY unstable with all that weight out at full reach and doesn't strike me as something that should be taught to a novice...if he does that with a 15t machine it could get very messy very quick.
@tannerbob69 Ok @tannerbob69, 97,017 views to date, That's Two Thousand two hundred and sixty one more viewers since we last spoke a week ago, so I am sure there is some thing of interest in the video to everyone wanting to learn and get a licence.
Perhaps the next video will be on how to drive a wheelbarrow, tipping a load etc,. without going over the top and getting certified, watch out too for any tsunami....
Glyn Davies the instructor from All Southern Site Safety Training, is in fluorescent yellow coat as the railway has closed for the winter. The video makes it look green as you say.
You are right, the digger was not on level ground when the engineer took the reading during filming.
The truth is that he had taken a reading earlier on flat ground in an area where the digger was stored, and when the engine was cold. Because we wanted to shoot footage "On Site" we went through the procedure again just for the camera, plus to keep a record of the procedures, nether the less you are right the digger was not on flat ground when checked which it should have been.
Hey, You were missed a lot when you went away because you made a good team. We still think about the good times and we were only talking about you today as the new staff are starting soon. You started on my birthday which was March 19th. You must send a card from the states.
I wish...the camera was used for keeping a record of training by the instructor Glyn Davies, but never one to pass up an opportunity Glyn let me use it.
crouching beside it whilst it's tipped towards them is not a great idea
