yeah i bought this palette on ebay for $13.99 with free shipping...exact same palette. pretty much anything from CS is on Ebay for much less. just something to think about!

@skyedink some people prefer to buy off the official site because they have more reassurance of how safe the product is. for example, some of the palettes on eBay contain unsafe ingredients (like lead). it could have the exact same packaging, but there's no guarantee it isn't a knock-off made from who knows where. i'm not saying everything off eBay is unsafe, but some people are more cautious when it comes to cosmetics :)

i prefer the 88 color palette (regular)

There are highly pigmented colors, and alot are easy to blend.

That is what i got, and i really progressed in makeup with it, because it gets you use to all of the different shades and what looks best for you!

You can o nly buy them online from coastal scents or look for 88 neutral palette on Ebay(where I got mine) but be careful as there are a couple of types of the neutral so make sure you have a picture of this one to go by. Hope you succeed

hey you can buy at coastalscents com! they ship to EUrope, and it s said to be pretty fast. be careful with ebay there are many imitations produced in china.. i m not sure I'd go for them ingredient/product safety wise!

and the companies label the palettes with their names

i have bought the coastal scents palette and they i got a "fake one" at ebay

and i swear it's the exact same palette

but the "fake one" doesnt have the "coastal scents" label

You would never know what the ingredients are, so be careful. Chinese products have frequently been taken off the market for dangerous ingredients. Achieving the same colour is not difficult fo a palette, what is IN there is important.

Bottom line: With an American or European seller I know they face some liability and remedy threat if customers have eye infections or worse. With obscure Chinese companies, including an intransparent legal system&corruption, you cannot be sure.

I will personally not put something on my eye knowing it is from the country where food scandals are covered and hidden so that hundreds of Chinese children die before something is being done.

If people are comfortable with taking the risk - go for it :) I personally am not, especially with eye products. :)

and even if Coastal scents PURCHASE from Chinese manufacturers they carry legal responsibility for it as an American producers. Being aware of that they put different safeguards in place, and test products more carefully.

So if you have one Chinese and one American company buying from the same manufacturer believe me there CAN be differences in ingredients used and quality achieved. Many chemicals forbidden in the EU f.e. are not forbidden in China at all.

The colours are nice, but i hate coastal scents.

The colour pots ALWAYS fall out of the holes, and the make up is so fragile and breaks all the time.

The colour pots are also smaller than what is shown on the internet.

so its almost like loose powder or pigments but that is the reason why i don't buy those.

So when I buy "pressed eye shadows" i expect it to be less powdery. but the cheaper brands are almost all very powdery and give lots of fall outs.

just to warn you, the quality is not very good.

The colors are very vibrant and highly pigmented

BUT...

it is soooooooo powdery that eye shadow powders goes into my eyes (if you know what i mean)

I think its worse than drug store eyeshadows in terms of how powdery it gets and you get fall outs all over even after you put eye primers.

(same with NYX eyeshadows)

i feel like its almost dangerous for my eyes. I have to be extra careful.

I thought about getting this, but it just seems like there's SO many light highlight colors that look IDENTICAL... kind of a waste of money IMO. I don't need twenty identical off-white highlight colors, I already have more highlight colors in my collection than I'll ever conceivably use... If there weren't so many samey colors, I'd buy it.
