  • is this only for distance formulas? like, anything in rt=d? only rate, time, or distance?

  • Thank you for this video and I wish you health and wellness, as well as you can get discounts for organic products International DXN number : 1420-31106 or join my group

  • i hate chemistry of all subjects make me .....remove hair

  • All you have to do is multiple 6.0 by 1.6 km/1 mile and it equals 9.6 km and saves steps.

  • You explain it better than my teacher. Thanks!

  • it should be 96.6 km

  • OR you could have just said how many km are in 6.0 miles X 1.6km/1mile= 9.6....This is a one step however, i sudgest people get use to ALL the conversion factors because youll need them later!

  • I have to do this for my midterm tomorrow... I'm in 8th grade and this shit is something the kids in 10th grade are learning now, I learned this at the beginning of the year and I cant remember it for crappppp!!!!! :P plus this dosnt help bc it's not how I learned it lol :(

  • i get this but i get confused when its asking ot go from ounces to grams

  • hey hey your length choose is 2.54=1in instead of 1mile=1.6094km????

  • OMG i got a head ache

  • can you tell me the procedure plz im so confused?!?!?!?! until i get my classmate calculator and smash to my teacher face plzzzzzzz tell me

  • Thanks so much, helped a lot.

Could you post a video on how to do dimensional analysis with moles of element masses etc.?

  • Thanks for posting this vid and making it simple for all of us to understand.

  • Mr. Steffen! I didn't know you were on youtube!

  • the beginning was helpful BUT ugh the end is sooo freaking confusing it helped NONE.

  • 6mi. x 1.6km/ 1 mi = 9.6 km

  • lol yeah, but his motive is good

  • Ok, call me Brain Dead! I understand everything up until " punch it in your calculator". What numbers are we multiplying to get the final anwser? Help me please! Peace and blessings to you all.

  • The method I use on the calculator is to multiply all of the "top" numbers together and then divide by each of the "bottom" numbers. In this problem multiply 60 x 5280 x 12 x 2.54 then take that sum and divide it by 100 and then that sum by 1000.

Another method that some people use is to multiply all the top numbers and write the sum then multiply the bottom numbers and write the sum. Then divide the top sum by the bottom sum.

  • @touchandmotion yea a boy with an angry face is right i got an head ache on this

  • Thanks so much. But isn't there a fact that will take you straight from miles to km?

  • Yes. The conversion factor directly from miles to kilometers is 1 mi = 1.609344 km

This could be shortened to 1.61 or 1.6 for everyday conversions but should be used in full for most math and science applications.

  • helpful... been having trouble with this stuff

  • Great Video! Thanks! *****

  • THANK YOU so much...i am studying for finals right now and i was having a hard time. Thanks!

  • u forgot to multiple the bottom

  • Thank you so much! I had a horrible chem1 teacher last year and this year I am expected to know how to do this in APchem2.

  • isn't 60 miles 96.56064 miles?

  • It's 6.0 miles the decimal is hard to see. It's rounded to 9.6 because of significant digits.

  • @Carlos101G that makes no sense how can 60 miles be 96 miles, did you mean kilometers and if u did the guy in the video had put a decimal after the 6 then a zero so he was doing 6.0 miles to km not 60 mile.

  • @Carlos101G

    umm...no, Carlos....No.
