My friend who's family also has whooping cough has a 3 month old and when i heard Joanna I thought she sounded just like my friends baby when she would cough. My youngest is 5 years old and she had a strong whooping sound that your baby didn't get. (or did she?) Did she ever do a loud inhale after a cough? My doctor says the test is very unreliable. But if the antibiotics helped her, chances are it's not whooping cough.
Well that is a relief. My family has whooping cough right now. It's terrible. Was she vaccinated? Glad she is doing better.Poor lil' thing. Did sister (in background) get it also?
I watched some videos of whooping cough and I prayed very hard that it wasn't that.She is on an apnea monitor so her machine was alarming too. Very scary! I had actually posted this so her pulmonologist could see exactly what she was doing during the night.Her sister was pretty sick too. They both were put on antibiotics and are much better.She was immunized, but she is only 3 months old,so she has only had one injection so far. I hope your family is better soon. I hope you all feel better soon!

She tested negative for pertussis (whooping cough). However, she did test positive for heamopholis influenzae. She is doing MUCH better now.

You said your family had it. Does this resemble the whooping cough? I have heard that you can get a negative result sometimes and still have it?
