  • Nothing like the real thing.

  • I'm a fan of them all, but for you to say that they weren't better than EWF or the commodores is not logical either. They have a lot of artist of today who sales are higher than some of the greats, but it does not mean they are better!. stop comparing apples to oranges basically. if you were there than act like you know!

  • repeat...

  • nice song my husband just this minute introduced me to this song....my favorite is lay lady lay

  • This song and Groove With You make me wanna go back to those days!!!

  • Much Props to Marvin Isley as well who wrote a lot of the melodies and was an INCREDIBLE Bass Guitarist.

  • This was an awesome album, Chris Jasper and Ernie Isley were the main songwriters and they were one of the greatest writing teams ever.

  • that's one hypnotic ass bass line and lead....music today simply doesn't compare...it doesn't and that is not an opinion...it's a fact.

  • @mazaratialbum you are so right nothing compares to the spirit and the energy of the music back then .. the vibration was pure not synthetic.

  • Impossible to cool out when the Isleys are playing.

  • this is what music's all about!

  • You know you're the shit when you can sample your own music YEARS later. For those of you don't know what i'm talking about check out Tryin to See Another Day by the Isley Brothers from the friday soundtrack.

  • Ron's voice is a pantie remover lol! Got 2 be the sexiest thing next 2 Al Greens voice! I am a #1 fan of Al Green, but Ron is in line right behind him! The two voices that would have you ending up in the delivery room once, or twice lol!!!!!

  • their songs were love letters, -respectful and genuine.....................

  • I don't care what nobody say...my man is playin' the hell out of that wood stick. That's all I'm sayin'! LoL

  • Cruising in a 1977 Cutlas S with Pioneer coaxils and tweeters, a graphic band equalizer and the biggest white man's overbite in Alabama...

  • Can someone explain why their early songs said Part 1 and 2 when it sounded like only one part?

  • @tdavis105us Back in the old days, radio stations played 45's only, and the song had to be less that 4 minutes long, or it would NOT get played on the air. Therefore, the Isley's frequently split their songs into 2 halves, Part 1 and Part 2, in order to get airplay. In reality, it was one long song.

  • @PalmBeach1028 perfect! explanitation

  • FOR THE MOST PART U WERE RIGHT....but in da early 80's it all changed....u could play the abum version...but yeah for the most part u are dead on....i work in radio by the way....(houston, i produce the tom joyner mornig show) : )

  • another all time favorite it just dont stop.........

  • RIP Marvin......he was soooooo cute and could play that bass!!!

  • @atl808...Jimi Hendrix probably/

  • @MrWickedhand I THINK HE MEANT SOMEBODY ALIVE! RIP O KELLY, MARVIN & JIMI

  • who can play guitar like Ernie Isley?

  • Another Ernie Isley masterpiece. Ernie wrote and/or co-wrote a bunch of the group's classics during this period.

  • Not a big hit by no means..but a Very nice performance..the isleys were so Underrated..they never got the props Earth Wind and Fire and Lionel Richie and the Commodores.but they were one of the Best bands ever.

  • @blkshepherd this song may have not been a "hit" , but I grew up doing that time, and the Isley's were as big or bigger than any of of the groups you mention. You can play a album and listen to it from beginning to end, and you would like all the songs. We didn't care if the song was a hit by popular means. Yes thIS SONG was very popular!

  • @mzatee1 The Isley brother were NEVER bigger than Earth Wind and Fire as far as sale wise or commerical wise. sorry. They may have gave the commodores a run for their money but Once Lionel starting writing for the Commodores they went through the roof leaving groups like the Isley Brothers and Whispers far in the dust. Like You I was BACK there. and I surely remember. You didnt care because you were a fan. and Fans generally dont care what the mainstream thinks or says. thats just how it is.

  • It's so nice to have songs like this to remind me of my childhood. Beautiful music with real singer, real instruments and real performers. I feel so sad for what my kids will have as the songs that remind them of their childhood: autotune, studio artists and profanity. Just sad.

  • Hey, I saw them live during the mid 90's and they turned the MOTHER - FUCKING HOUSE OUT in Dallas. Don't HATE on the Brothers !!

  • The Isley Brothers are truly a legendary phenomenon. Their music has been the sountrack to he lives of three generations of R&B music lovers. I saw them live at the Capital Centre in Maryland in the very late 70s. Ive got to call it like it was. They could not deliver the goods live. It was a very disappointing show. If I can recall correctly, the promoters pulled the plug on them early to get them off the stage.

  • HEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
