Was there any slug damage in the fourth garden? If it's sand, I wouldn't think it'd hold enough water for there to really be slugs.

I just did this!! After 30 minutes I got 4 slugs and 2 really BIG ones! We are expecting lots of rain, again, tonite, so I will take a video in the morning to see what happened last night. I can't believe how effective this has been in just 30 minutes!!! Try it for yourself. It costs you a beer and a plastic cup!! Don't think slugs really have a beer preference at this stage in their evolution:)

I can't believe it!! I just did this, not 30 minutes ago, and I swear to all of you that we aleady have 3 or 4, one really big, slugs in the cups. I only put out 2 cups in our 3'x6' space, but they have eaten most of the leaves closest to the ground in the past 2 weeks. I wasn't sure we would have anything left for us! I love this new way of life! I can grow foood for my husband and me, our extended family, and kill bugs "organically" ;) Life is good.
