  • Wicked ass set up but dam u got to get use to d power of a 3s Lipo, ur tearing dat truck up !!!

  • nice truck but surprised you still have stock wheels

  • What motor you use? Is that VXL or XL-5?

  • @MrMirmu At the time I was running a Mamba max 5700, since burnt it out by overgearing. It started out as a XL-5 Stampede but the only stock parts left are the wheels. It's now all FLM & RPM parts.

  • Speed mods or real speed? If normal, imagine how fast it would go with mods! O.o

  • Do u know if it'll fit in a stampede 4x4 vxl

  • Not flipen bad

  • i have a stampede an mine it alittle faster then this , i have a titan 550 12t motor but before you jump of track i took motor shaft out an put it a 23v high speed drill motor witch you can buy from freds for 10$ , an it fast way fast then the reg 550 12t motor , but i haveing the a prob with my brushles stamp , it seems to be to light . it has a alloy chassie, alloy shocks about close to alloy everythng but it just sits there a spins to much

  • do u now if the battery will fit in the rustler vxl

  • @mathew6593 Yes it will.

  • i got one to but mine is not overawsome as yours!!

  • Ahhhhhh ---- 2:16, the lovely sound of rc car tires ballooning beyond acceptable limits. ; )

  • i can tell you cut the antenna on the receiver... the signal is shorting when you go not very far.

  • @Cyonyst I haven,t cut the antenna, at the time I was getting interference because I had the ESC mounted on top of the receiver, have since fixed the problem.

  • @Madmuz77 - If you are still running the stock receiver/transmitter that is the real problem. I had the same issues with cutting out like that on LIPO but not on 9cell NIMH. Anyway, I went and bought the 5channel 2.4ghz traxxas radio and use the 2.4ghz transmitter from my Boss 302 VXL and it solved all my cutting-out problems and has WAY better range than before too.

  • @jmeiers This vid is pretty old, thanks for the advise but I've been using a 3 channel 2.4ghz rx & tx for a while now:-) So much easier to swap models whithout swaping radio gear.

  • r these things tough and shit like r they buillt to last or what

  • you did a good job on the body

  • wat kinda body is tht

  • @psd2002 it's a 1/8 size savage x body I bought clear & painted myself, after installing the flm extended chassis the original stampede body was to small.

  • well theres ur problem man...its a 5.5t motor...it requires more amperage to get the motor up to speed. Try puttin on a smaller pinion gear or larger spur if you havnt already =D...lol but i bet your car's fast!

  • Nice, 3S is crazieness!! i have 35-45C 5000mah and they are silly !

  • and how much was the 3s?

  • how much was the first 2s battery?

  • ill subscribe cause your a fellow aussie

  • what charger do you have?

  • I use a Swallow 2 ac/dc digital peak charger.

  • nice body...

  • can u use lipo without brushless or no

  • You can indeed use li-po on a brushed motor, as long as your esc can handle the voltage.

  • gd vid.. i live near burns :)

  • I live in Kinross, but this was the closest level, straight road I could find that was a decent length & had no traffic.

  • the battery and motor sucks balls!!!!!

  • so do you but i don't complain.

  • im reply to nothing at this comment lol but i have a question....

where do i get a body like the one in your vid?

  • It's a savage x body, i bought it clear from my lhs & painted it with tamiya spray cans

  • great video, how much runtime do u get from the battery

  • to be honest i'm not sure on exact run times. I still haven't got around to replacing the burnt out esc in my stampede, the old old one would hit thermal cut out in about 15mins & i'd get 2 maybe 3 runs in before voltage cutout.

Sinse been using my 3s in a brushless TT-01d & it gives me a good 40-45 mins runtime in that, but same thing esc usually thermals out before voltage cutout kicks in.

  • sounds like your receiver is glitching, i wonder what does that? becasue mines does that too

  • it wasn't my receiver glitching it was my esc showing first signs of dying. It died not long after I made this vid(I fried it due to over gearing). If your rx is glitching try insulating the wires & mount it as far away from your esc as possible or you could try running you rx of a batt pack or external bec.

  • guess what my mamba fried too. and i wasnt overgeared, but it thermals 5 min into half throttle bashing... and i just bought it in nov. my gearing was 16, 90 with a fan and capacitor... i hope my warranty covers it...

  • wats that noise it sound like ur esc or something

  • what noise are you talking about? I have a cooling fan mounted on my esc that could be it.

  • YO!! THATS SOOOO FAST!!!! *****

  • whats your speed now?

  • fastest i've gone so far is 96km\h, that was with no body on, at about 80 the car lifts off the ground with this body on as it did in this vid. It will go faster if i can keep the front wheels down maybe a little weight on the front could help.

Still need new tread to, balanced my stock talon & runs much smoother but they baloon so much its only a matter of time before one explodes.

  • dude that things a rocket! good job man it looks sweet!

  • what power system you running? it sounds like vxl. I have a sidewinder with 5700 motor but i am getting a vxl motor cause i am sick of my hot temps and stuff.

  • I was running a Mamba Max 5700 combo but I fried the MM esc, I'm now using a Speed Passion GT escV1.1,works fine & comes with a programing unit so I can change settings were everI am instead of having to go home and change them on my computer. I'm still using the CM36s 5700kv motor that came with my Mamba though.

  • gearing?

  • for this vid & onroad I use 27/83 gearing, this is over geared but I'm willing to sacrafice a little runtime for more top end speed it does run a little bit hotter not to much though.

For offroad I use 19/86 or 19/83 if i cant be bothered changing the spur.

  • 2:29 - 2:30 sounds like a plane!! WOW FAST

  • Thats because the tyres were balooning so much they were rubbing on the body
