Another in a LONG line of hauntingly beautiful film scores by Thomas Newman; simply the best. Emotionally straining (a good thing) where happiness and sadness are not that far apart, is the best way for me to describe Thomas Newman's fim music. He is up there with Jerry Goldsmith, Maurice Jarre, John Barry, John Carpenter & Alan Howarth.

I think part of the appeal of this film is that it makes many sons think a little more deeply about their fathers, and vice versa, and somehow this piece of music seems to evoke that; it certainly stays with you, as does the film.
