  • Great layout incredible sound and I love the bridges! The gauntlet is perfect! Nice work, one of the finest I have seen!!

  • track plan please:)

  • Great job! Nice sounds and operating smoothness! I bet the operating sessions must be a lot of fun! Cheers!

  • Run a steam engine with the same hoppers.....

  • ugly looking engine

  • That was awesome.

  • Only one thing wrong about this vid. The WM only used their 2 BL-2's for switching along with 2 ex. S-2 slugs.

  • and branch line service

  • No, at the time your layout is depicting, the BL2's would have always stayed with their slugs. Only in the late 50's, when they were first bought by the WM, would they be used in branchline service. And whenever they did, they would be paired up with some F7's, not with each other.

  • note BL stands for branch line. But yeah they were paired up with Funits of alco RS-3's

  • Ya i know it stands for that, but the WM didn't use them for that purpose. But ya your right, I forgot about the RS3's. If I were you, I would buy some cheap S-2's if you can find any and make the slugs they were paired with.

  • thats what I want to do 2

  • Fantastic.... realism is very good. This is my dream layout.

  • Thanks, Everybody! Look for more changes in 2010!

  • Is that the Potomac River? I biked the C&O Canal trail along the Potomac and passed by so many abandoned WM bridges and tunnels, just rusting out there in the woods like ancient ruins. Awesome to see the WM on your layout.

  • scenery, especially the river is excellent.

  • GREAT LAYOUT!!!!!!! very realistic!!!

  • Good looking stuff Lee!!

  • Horn is a Leslie A-200 "honker" that's in excellent condition. These were very common from the 1940s-60s. The famous GG1 locomotives had them as well and kept their A200s until retirement in the 80s.

  • Great video, Very nice scenery too!

  • You must have a really big girl friend!

  • Nice Lee !!

    Geared Steam

  • Awesome Video And Layout!

  • An inspiration to us all! Thanks.

  • Nice and steady videography. Love the sound effects too!

  • how big is the layout and what kind of track plan did u use I am building a layout and need some pointer would love some ideas ..

  • Very Nice work! I for one don't like the dubbed video though.

au natural, don't like silicone either. . .

    Joe

  • Love the video. How did you make the trees?

  • I love the river. You have definitely done some work.

  • man great sound effects!!

  • Awesome n scale layout and video. Love the dubbed in sound effects! 5 stars!

  • Hi Lee, I have a question on your sound. Is this something you added to your video or is it part of your sound used on your layout? Love that early EMD horn used for your BL2's. Train Nutzzzzzz

  • It's all dubbed from real life. On the layout all you hear is Ed complaining about how busy the yard gets...

  • Glad you liked. We gotta go fannin' to get some fresh sound effects...

  • Very cool lee. Better sound than I've seen on many professional videos.
