having tested more than 5 "download managers" I would clearly say that this is by far a better solution than many other plugins. Its REALLY simple (exactly the way it should be for an always in a hurry admin!). even all I mentioned before a nothing compared to the obstacles other plugins serve you from the first minute. (sound volume of the tutorial though is very low!)
In my opinion, "attachments" as by definition should first of all be JUST downloadable (otherwise it could be treated exactly like a hyperlink, since it is going to open in the same or new explorer window making the attachment at least for the download part unusable) and then IF, open in new window or same window option(modern browsers do anyway ask you if you want to open the file or download it, which makes the option open in new window obsolete).
If you have attached more than one file to an article, you can not delete one or more of them within the article making things more difficult to manage.
would be nice if the upload option leads to the same kind joomla uploads its files: first in its own web folders then optional to local disk of user, and additional, which is very cool btw, the url link option.
