Hello Justkarmatoo, not a dumb thing to ask at all, well for the cage amature fights the rules changes on what card your fighting on .Some allow knees onley to the legs and no elblow but the pro fights we can knee to the head and albow on the ground ,no head butts
with me I rather not seek the clinch but we train in it for the ..what if... I like to enter if need be with it to go from a cross follow it in when they are hurt and use the clinch for more damage,hooks ,throws, knees, ect....
how do you enter that clinch work from there.. Ive worked with a friend that has done boxing experience.. and his boxing clinching is very different.. but back to the point.. I can bridge the gap.. only thing.. they can repel as well.. I seldom pacda.. but its the shooting to the clinch which is the problem.. is it fair to shoot to clinch.. or better.. side clinch..
