  • my mv keep telling me mouse not found.... can i use the monitor screen without a mouse?

  • @aliedurand no you cant.

  • can u tell me how to loop in song mode....

  • @aliedurand loop what? if you want to loop the sequence then there is a dedicated loop button on the mv.

  • What kind of cable do you need to hook up to a monitor? and could you hook it up to a laptop and not just a stand alone monitor?

  • @FRADjr regular vga cable - and no only regular lcd/crt monitors with vga-in are supported.

  • Can you tell me exactly the different between the Pattern Mode and Song Mode?

How do you make a track?

    Greets

  • JJOS for mpc1000/2500 has alt loop. It also has X-fade loop. Just so you know.

  • @subclonk : yes, i know, had the 1k before.

  • @Olby I'm just mentioning it for peeps that think the mpc 1000/2500 can't do this. JJOS is constantly being updated to user feature requests. The JJOS is seriously, da BOMB! :)

  • @Olby hehe me too

  • He sounds a little italian to me.

  • can i layer several samples on the same pad like the mpc 2500?

  • @CoyoteBeats : Yes it is called SMT (Sample Mix Table) it allows you to assign up to 4 separate samples to the same pad. You can access it by hitting Quick Edit and going to SMT tab. O.

  • @CoyoteBeats I dont even layer samples on a pad with JJOS, I use SIMULT pad which means you can trigger up to four other pads to hit at the same time as one pad.

  • @subclonk It means you can mess with the filter and amp envelope, pitch, lfo's, etc, etc for all 5 pads hitting at the same time!

  • lol why does this guy have to sound like a persian immigrant. haha whatever cool tut

  • thanks.good advice

  • yo you're killing it with those shift button tips... thanks for this tip

  • evem though you just doing a demo, that sample is Phatt and you kinda help make up my mind between gettin a MPC 2500 and a 8800.I'm rollin with Roland. thx man

  • cheers mate.

  • what version do you have 1.00 or 1.02?

  • i have 8800 version 1.01 there isn't version 1.02.

  • That's what I meant i didn't mean to type 1.02.....

  • nope. i never use pattern mode since I feel it is quite limited because you can have only a fixed length loop and only 1 audio track where the linear seq mode works just like any normal daw.

  • @Olby

oh shit! i wish i knew that months ago.

  • Great tip!

Nice track at the end also!

  • This video was very helpful man. Thanks for the tip,Cheers from Buffalo N.Y.

  • glad to hear that!

  • Real knowledge! I'm impressed, Olby. you know your shit! I learned something new today (the release value of 90 works well with the alt loop)

but hey MPC has alt loop also, it's reall good. I just wish you could set the Attack time (the A is ADSR) for the loop point.

    Again, good work!

  • thank you!

  • excellent video! glad to see someone else digging into the hundreds of features of the mv. thanks for commenting on my latest post too.

  • Neither. Ableton live

  • mv 8800 or mpc 2500? or better yet mpc 1000 jj os????please someone tell me whats best for sampling!!!!!

  • you cant compare MV to the MPC 1000 or 2500 because the MV is way more powerful. Even when comparing between MPC 4000 and MV8800 I would go with the MV as it has audio tracks and possibility connect mouse and monitor.

between the mpc 1000 with jjos2xl and mpc 2500 i would go with the 1k because with jjos it has the same operating system as in 2500 so you would only blow away more money for a bigger unit (in physical size).

  • so what would you reccomend as an interface??? digi 003 console perhaps??

  • don't know which is in your situation better interface. I don't use any of these as I mix and master my work completely in the MV8800.

  • Olby, because of you I got a SP505 a few months ago, shame on you man! ;-)

Anyways, it is good to see your progression getting bigger and better gear. Keep up the good work.

  • i'm glad that you got 505. it is great machine.

  • Yeah, actually I wanted to thank you for pointing that out in your tutorials. Had hard times to decide which sampler should I get, but thanks to you I found the perfect one (for the price).

  • yo where you from man ?????? what accent is that

  • Latvia man, I'm from Latvia, check out my profile.

  • yo man thanks fo da vid ...v-useful! peace! 5/5

  • Hey Olby, Look i am wondering how do i get the MV-8800 to recognize the sounds on my Roland Juno-G by midi! Or can i play them straight through the audio inputs? I want to use my Roland Juno-G as a sound module and use all its sounds on the MV-8800 sequencer instead of using the MV-8800 sounds! Can you pleas help me my man....i just bought the machine a couple weeks ago! Help me please, thanks alot!

  • Yo Rob, so what happens when you connect the midi out from the MV88 to the midi in of Juno-G. Is there any kind of problems, please explain a bit more so that I can think about this a lil' bit more.

    Olby,

  • soon i am going to film a new video explaining on how to make your drums correct.

  • i use the same watch my vid

  • Yo nice tutorial on this bruh! You might want to share this with MV Nation! Great stuff! I'm getting one soon!

  • i'm not going to use mv nation because i tried 3 times to register there but never succeeded. guess the nations don't want any new users to register, so i'm going to stay on sp-forums instead. peace.

  • They just updated the page last week, so it may be a glitch in your being able to sign up. I wouldn't rule out trying it again. You'd be a great asset to the Nation. They have great people on there to help you out on things as well. I hope it works out for you!

  • Great vid Olby, the mv seems like a hell of a machine.

    I want one!!
