Hi, Can you please share the settings for this amazing sound. The picture is so dark that I can´t exactly see where does what patchchord go, and how are the knobs set. Thanks a lot! Great videos by the way :)
someone's offered me a great price on a part exchange with my Little Phatty for a Moog Voyager Select Series (Fire) but I've also got a good deal on a Korg MS-20
I think the first deal is better! Two synths are better than one - and the MS-20 is a great instrument (if you like the basic sound). With the MS-20, you need time and experience to get great sounds.
Man you will never regret your decision. Ive owned most synth, and sold of most, and even though I still have plenty, theres 2 synths that will join me in my grave: The Ms-20 and Prophet 08.
@discotechwreck Do you play live? Do you need patch recall? Have you ever played an MS-20 or Voyager?
It's hard to answer a question about what would be best for YOU. However, I got a Voyager with the CV-Expander Box and it is fantastic. I did choose it over anything else including an MS-20. It works great with my modular gear as it is Oct/V and not Hz/V like a Korg or Yamaha.
a streak of ms20 uploading!. the ms20 particularly here is great and powerful, it almost sounds like it has been put through a compressor but there are no additional effects :)
I patched the signal into the ESP (external signal processor) of the MS-20, which distorts the sound a bit - as a result it sounds raw and compressed...

great video!
I'm having a major dilemma though
someone's offered me a great price on a part exchange with my Little Phatty for a Moog Voyager Select Series (Fire) but I've also got a good deal on a Korg MS-20
so it's like:
Moog Little Phatty + Korg MS-20
OR
Moog Voyager
suggestions?

I have a fair bit of experience with synths
would consider myself pretty knowledgeable as far as subtractive synthesis goes and how to achieve particular sounds
I am very fond of the MS-20s filters
alternatively there is the Future Retro XS which looks amazing quite frankly
will have to see what deal comes up
but I will let you know
thanks for the advice!

I got the MS-20 in the end!
I've only been playing around with it for about an hour and I can say it was definitely worth the three hour drive
