  • can anyone please write the lyrics of this song, i googling it around but i got nothing, i really love this song, thanks

  • @crossbanaan thats what im sayin duuuude!!!!

  • cool, but the Give Em The Boot version is better

  • who cares if someones homophobic quit being fags and listen to the music

  • ke es esa picha!!!!! maldito rancid y malparidos negros!!!!! mejor se kuliaran entre si los putos!!!!!!!

  • It's sad that Rancid speaks up for human rights, but Buju Banton speaks up for gaybashing. Shame on you Rancid, i thought you'd know better

  • @Olole buju is a gaybasher?

  • @ldr513 He has a song called Boom-bye-bye, it's pretty good, just very, very homophobic

  • @ldr513 He claims it's in the past.

I think he recently was charged with drug trafficking. On a side note, how much do you know about Latin American and West Indian culture? Homophobia is a sad but still big part of the culture down there. It's not surprising that a song that came out 20 years ago would say something against homosexuals.

  • @xhead13 well homophopia is something that needs to dissapear. people all claim to be so anti racist and "unity" and all that shit, they still hate gay people.

  • @ldr513 well you cant preach "unity" and hate homophobes as well. just because a group of people dont get along with someone doesnt mean you cant get along with that group

  • @whatupmaaan i dont preach unity. fuck homophobes. thats what i preach

  • @ldr513 then never go in the real world

  • @whatupmaaan what? who the fuck are you to know about the real world. dont act like you know me motherfucker

  • @ldr513 im just sayin, you dont know me either

  • @xhead13 most of the homophobic artists speak against pedophilia as opposed to consensual relationships

  • @sleepgood3000 Boom Bye Bye was written because a man where he lived raped a kid and Buju was expressing his feelings...

  • only knewn the version wich is on give em the boot before but this is much better

  • Guys, something really bothers me. usually I don't care about back stories, if there's something wrong I just don't listen. I used to think Tim Armstrong owned epitaph records though and didn't want to support him so I'd have to buy some albums used, then learned he owns Hellcat which is apart of epitaph...

why oh why if Tim isn't homophobic did he sign buju banton? yeah I know the homophobic songs were years ago but.... still. =\

  • @RukiKatiakicz He only made one homophobic song, and it was never officially released.

Then, when it was released without his permission, he apologized for it, and signed a contract saying he would stop making homophobic music.

Also, the song in question, "Boom Bye Bye", was made when he was 15. I don't know you personally, but I know you must've done, said, or thought something stupid when you were 15. Everyone's stupid at that age.

  • @RukiKatiakicz Actually, two songs, my bad. The other one was in 1992, when he was 19. Still a teenager, I guess. It bothers me too, but he signed the contract in 2007, and recorded with Rancid in 1998, so whatever. It's never too late to forget your prejudices, in any case.

  • Anyone looking the better version of this its on Hellcat Records ......Give Em The Boot II

  • @REVMODEMONHUNTER I like that version better too. It sounds more raw and powerful.

  • Ohman I love this song :]

  • I've been looking for this tune can anyone help a gal out please and thanks?

  • whats up with this guy and rasism?

  • @maeshay2 its not racism its homophobia that gets him in the shit

he has a song called batty rider, if you listen you see where the accusations of homophobia come from but hes renounced that (at least in public)

  • @nobodysherograham

Stop talking what you don`t know BASED ON CRAP YOU READ ON THE INTERNET.

Batty Rider was about a type of short-shorts that was popular among Jamaican women in the 90s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buju made 2 anti gay songs, all before 1995. The issue is dead 15 years except for being resurrected by the most ill informed of gay people who try to suggest that this was his current theme.

  • isn't this a u2 song? :s

  • where the hells is the good version?

  • which other one are you talking about?

  • @brukoutlad can you upload the other two versions? i've only heard this one....thank you! or send me by email or something...

  • this song dominates...two of the best things about music together...
