  • My question is why anyone would ever want to run linux or windows on their mac?

  • @eddysvideos33 There are quite a few programs that only run on windows, which is why you would install windows on your mac. Don't ask me why Linux, i personally don't use it at all, I just show everyone how its done.

A lot of gamers play windows on their mac (but via BootCamp not via Virtual Machine), to play their windows games on their mac, so that they don't have to have another computer for only that reason.

Linux is use by most Movie companies for 3D Rendering...

Pixar and Dreamwork both use Linux renderfarms, and clusters.

Pixar's RenderMan is made for Linux, and so is Maya 3D that cost 5,000 dollars...

Google uses Linux, the Android Phone, and ELSE smartphone use Linux... Most web Servers are Linux... The web is powered by Linux... Linux is used every were...

  • @eddysvideos33 Better software is made for Windows than Mac 90% of all high-end 3D Software is made for Windows only for example 3DS Max that is Windows only...

  • @eddysvideos33 Ohhhh, my friend! There's so much that does linux does better. E.g. nothing beats Okular + Kile for LaTeXing (TeXShop + its built in viewer are at best, OK).

  • @eddysvideos33 For developers, mac has a terrible lack of pre-built binaries or many many development libraries. Ubuntu can be much more convenient for developing.

  • @eddysvideos33 Linux FTW. The real question is why would anyone spend twice as much money on a mac just for a shitty limited OS and a queer apple logo?

  • @john5743 People who talk crap about Apple usually have never owned one. The OS is superior to all other OS's I have ever used. It's worth the money, you just have to have it to spend it.
