No they are compiled and taken from all the Law Enforcement agencies across the country. My degree is from Sam Houston State University and it is in CJ. The voluntary part of which you speak. It is not mandated in all states to report index crimes but in some it is. I would say the report is accurate on a + or - 3% from reported crimes. I guess you were one of the ones who walked out of class when this was written on the blackboard.

How can you defend a party in which an economic disaster has happened, 9/11, 2 wars and the price of everything has risen significantly? Maybe not Obama, but hell no to the damn Republicans.

im a black person that doesnt need welfare, social security etc.. so i have to vote for someone who is doing thing in my best interest in my case that means cutting programs.. we should be voting for people that do what we as indivdiual needs not race

Now saying all this.... there is some good that might come out of the election of Barack Obama.
1) white people need to get used to seeing black people in positions of power. (the only way racism will end is if blacks empower themselves)
2) there's a sentiment within the black community where people feel like they are subjected to a life of poverty, inferiority and hopelessness.......... BLACK PEOPLE IN HIGH POSITIONS WILL SEND A MESSAGE TO THE YOUTH THAT YOUR DREAMS CAN BE ACHIEVED.

Americans should really be pushing for a multi-party system like we have up here in Canada. Multi-party system will allow more voting options and more political parties to choose from.
But see that is one reason why democrats and republicans are two sides of the same coin.

So true indeed. In a nation with 330 million citizens of which 115 million are eligible voters, the only number that matters is the number 270. That's the magic number (of elctoral votes needed) required that will determine the next president. It's fucked up, but that's just how it is. great vid!

the population is about 305 mil not 330. and more people could vote if they chose to. 212 million are ellegible if i remember right. perhaps you mean 97 mil could vote but are not registered, most of the others are under 18. children should not be able to vote.
