This game is badass! I got lost in a giants castle full of orcs and....giants! I was newb and had to develop fighting skills and use my wits to escape. I saved a princess too! oh thats why i ws there. i got lost for weeks an lost purpose.

I DL'd this today... I got out of the initial tomb then went to daggerfall.. then I wanted to follow up on main quest but didnt know where to go. I tried the palace but the queen said I was a noob and the king just told me to fetch his hankerchief. So I went and killed villagers and got HALTED to death.

Keep exploring and leveling up. Eventually you'll be given a letter (It varies how you get it) and everything will lead on from there.

@Quakistaw i randomly went to queen and she told me to come in that castle(i was only lvl 3, however i had daedric long sword that i stole from a tavern), and i went there killed everyone and everything till the main room where were liches. I ALWAYS kept dying there, and I am now stuck in the fucking dungeon because it's like a maze can't find exit :(((.....

To those complaining about the dungeons. Well, once you hate a dungeon because you can't swim, you get a spell that allows you to walk on water. poor climber? Get a levitation spell! The basic spells like swimming, running faster, recall, etc are all quite cheap! Also, you need a different mindset, unless your doing one of the main quests, don't worry if you can't do a quest, it's not the end of the world like in modern games!

Dungeons became a lot more fun once I got the Water Breathing / Levitation spells. Don't think I had a Recall spell though, which would have been useful at times.

one of the things i love about daggerfall is that it overwhelms u with stuff to do and you feel like your always finding new things. great game and awesome vid 5\5

giving time to read adds just a couple seconds to the vid and makes watching it much more enjoyable! Having to rewind a couple seconds, get back to the text part and then pausing, multiple times, is a pain in the ass! It's a good job TV doesn't do that, saying 'just video tape it, then you can pause it!'!!!

Ah, Shedungent. One of very few main quest dungeons I actually enjoyed finding my way through. Could be in part due to this awesome music track which doesn't play in any other dungeons.

Giving users time to read the text is pointless. If they want to read it, they will pause it.

Also, Shedugent was awesome! I just did it yesterday myself. It really does have a nice sound track. I did not know it was a main quest dungeon.

Actually the epic dungeon crawls for every little quest gets kind of annoying. I'm sure glad they took those out of III & IV. And some of the dungeons are actually unsolveable if your swimming skill is weak and the item (or exit) is on the other side of a flooded room.

I was just playing this dungeon and saved to come find what the password for the banner is. I just finished a 3 hour dungeon crawl and I have no patience for another one.

When Daggerfall was released it required a top of the line computer to play and was criticized for having bland quests and dungeons. It's exactly the kind of game you're complaining about.

Lawl yeah, if you know the banner's password, you get immediately to Nulfaga so it kind of ruins the dungeon... plsu the password is somewhat weird despite it fits Nulfaga's state. XD

What worried me about Daggerfall's main quest was that if you said "No" to the wrong person, you could never accept the next step on in the game.

Not like I cared much about the main quest. Daggerfall was so awesome, it hardly needed one. What a video to bring back memories.

Daggerfall, one of my favourites games. It was pretty scary, when I played it at nights younger, hehe. Good times.
