You should see this 66 now. bavck to original suspension, 14 in wheels with stock 66 wire hubcaps, no air bags, no sub, no spinners.....nice origilnal car. Was a black car with white interior with 283. I rebuilt tranny, re-end. 350 engine is great. soon will redo dash with stock AM/FM radio. New dash cover and rechromed speedo area.

@THEHOUSEONTHECORNER  v8 small block wise, they came w/ 283, 327 , big blocks 396 or 427. Each engine also had a couple of horse power versions. A 409 may have even made it into a few 65s from the factory, but that may have just been the factory using up left over 409s. It hasnt been confirmed to my knowledge.

Also the firewall tags will have a code on it telling you your options. Write them down and research them online.

@Mr68rida These impalas originally came straight from the factory with big ass motors and high hp in them, EX; 396ci 4 bbl 325hp V-8, 427ci 4 bbl 390hp V-8 and the 427ci 4 bbl 425hp V-8. All options back in 1966.

That's why they call them "Muscle Cars".........LOL!
