I don't understand.. Is the distract mechanic mimicking the voice of a commander/general/leader? I don't get why ANY marine leader or not would order another marine to "Come on out, motherfucker" or even call a marine a freak.

@TekHelper No, no, no. the predator mimics a marine. And when the marines hear another marine say, "Come on out mutherfucker," they assume that marine sees or hears something. Or "Come on u ugly freak" they assume the same, that something must be up. Once while playing I distracted a marine and the predator said, "Come on out motherfucker" and the marine said "Ooh, he sounds tough!" and then came over like he wanted to talk to the marine (which was me waiting for an epic head-removal!)

@malaysianmetalhead cuz tactically if your going to send anything in and avoid drawing attention ( which in every predator movie I have seen that is how they prefer to operate) then your 1st move has to be to take out anything that can act as an early warning or anything that can call for reinforcements. Long story short you want a communications blackout to cover your entrance and escape so noone will even know you were there and the best way to do that quickly is take out that ship.

are you stupid or something? do you not notice that there IS a glare when cloaked, and that you CAN see the predator's outline or even its cloaked body unless it's standing still? even then, if you turn quickly you can still see the light barely reflecting off of its surface.

@Zant5976 Yeah, that's because the Predator's device isn't invisibility. (According to Predator 2) it's a cloaking device that bends light ,making him look like the environment. Or simply put, it's a rapidly-changing chameleon device.

Least you are more polite than asswipe Zant5976. I never played the game, but I saw the movies - yes hes not invisible, he cloaks. However, their backs were turned, so unless they heard him coming (and it looked like he was walking pretty silently) how'd they know he was behind them. I know you can still see his outline but he was practically 180 behind them.

I just hate scripted sequences where the AI reacts to you even if they shouldnt be able to see you - like Far Cry

#1 - Ive never played this game, looking at this from PREDATOR point of view, so I dont know what predator looks like and if there is a glow. #2 - He was BEHIND THEM, so I guess its just so bright, that they can see you with their back turned, with the glow so bright, defeats the purpose of being stealthy, so Im not stupid, the game designers are. Why even cloak if they can see your glow behind them.

@tellurye oh yeah, if you look as far down as you can, then you can see your body - and there you'll see that there isn't a "glow" but more like distortion from the cloaking device. And I'm not sure if they implemented this part into the game, but whenever the Predator switches to different types of vision, his visor flashes VERY brightly (ref. Predator 1)

Vs Marines doesn't matter if you're cloaked...they have "motion" trackers. If you move, it'll detect you.

Tactic would be cloak round corner > distract to position > assassinate when in melee distance.

Vs Aliens, cloaking is near to useless as they'll be able to sense you (ie: smell).

This is a step back from avp2. No freedom from jumping from one spot to another. Lots of predator movie sounds not used. Looks like stealth detection greatly increased. Wrist blades would have long melted from 1st alien attack. No combi stick.

Yeah. The Alien in AVP 2 escaped and facehugged an unlucky civilian. Number 6 in AVP 3 was bred in a laboratory using an unlucky human test subject, and it escapes after reaching...full development.

this game is going to be bether on pc, becouse its first person, and first person are best on pc, well in my opinion, becouse you normaly get more from the pc versions, addons, skins, models, maps maybe, if they let us creat our own maps, and normaly bether graphics than the consoles ( but then you need a good pc ). even they should put that to consoles to, like they did on Far Cry 2. i do love consoles to, but not for this kinda game :/

I can clearly see this game will be awesome. It was stated to be work in progress so that's what we should take it as. I'm sure the finished product will be better, all rough edges rounded off etc.
