i have been able to click my neck without any pain for months and i woke up this morning went to click the left side of my neck and bang extreme pain on the left side of my neck but when i move my head the pain sometimes shifts also i experience pain when lifting my arms and havent got a clue wether to go to the hospital or not
Had neck pain for almost two months....even went to chiropractor for a visit...still had extreme pain in morning even after sleeping on back all night....discomfort and poor range 24 hrs. I watched this and other similar videos, used the techniques - AND cold packs - got better in days. It has been a week and still not out of the woods but no pain in mornings, sleep better, can sleep in side, continue to use techniques when stiffness creeps up. Working on posture, especially at computer.
NEW REPLY (1 day later)---ive been following your advice now for 24hrs and WOW--im completely healed--in fact, i even played my softball game last night---i did not have to skip it!
i must admit, when i first followed your advice--it really hurt to stretch-but when i did it again and again, i felt the muscles relaxing and beginnning to lossen up. i took pain pills for 5 days and nothing worked. Listen to her if you want to get better--leave the pills in the cabinet-
no matter how many stretches u make in the neck area u are not resolving ANY symptomatology if u dont check out all the movements of neck in all planes...In that case the McKenzie approach is far far better than any kind of "stretches".....I am talking as a physical therapist, practicing this method without adding -many times painfull- stretches in the treatment regimen
This was definately better advice than what I got from the doctor. My symptoms are exactly as the host described. I will try these exercises as I'm into almost two weeks of this constant pain, how I got it I have no clue...right now I'm taking Naproxen and Soma, which doesn't seem to work...so I'm definately gonnna see how I feel after this.
Very many thnaks - this really helped :-))

My cervical strain has led to my right side being lower than the left... is there anyway to fix this without surgery?

Sitting up straight causes my neck to hurt however, slouching causes my neck to hurt also.
Your advice on the neck exercises helped to release some tension. Is there any other thing that I can do to make my neck pain even more bearable?
thanks!

@quorthon1940 yes, I would start with McKenzie, maybe some Mulligan self mobs and when things resolve I might ad the other stretches.

Thanks. I first went to the chiropractor; wrong approach. This advice is working for me though. It does hurt!
