Vocalizing doesnt cause pain. It is a normal occurrence, If this puppy were in pain, he were be yelping and be frantically trying to get away. Barking is learned early on in canines. Human babies vocalize without crying, and that doesnt hurt either.

Actually they do. Barking is one form of communication, along with smelling, body posture & facial expression. Dogs will use barking to alert others to intruders, be they friendly or dangerous. Dogs will bark to go outside or to be let into the house. Owners who listen will say that their dog has many different types of barks depending on the situation, ranging from fierce to happy and all types in between. Dogs will also use whining and growling as a form of communication.

yes they van bark and growl but they dont actually have like a dog language theyr vocal coords are to short to make enough sounds to have a language we they alert by barking and growling, we also scream...

Here is one of the definitions of the word 'language' from the Webster Dictionary:

a systematic means of communicating ideas or feelings by the use of conventionalized signs, sounds, gestures, or marks having understood meanings...so I disagree with you and still contend that one means of dog communication is via vocalization. We own and work at our veterinary clinic and witness this on a daily basis. Dog language may not mimic ours, but they express their ideas vocally well enough.
