  • mi dedicatoria a aquéllas que nos hacen la vida un poco más agradable

  • dont know this song but i just keep singing eres tu, this is a amazing song

  • Thank you for doing this. It is a great help for learning the song. It is interesting that in this version she sings "toda mi horizontes" in the "poema" verse, and in another video here by the same artist, she is singing "toda mi esperanza" in the same place. Apparently the same artist did more than one version of this song? Anyway, a beautiful song and I am glad to finally be learning it.

  • @Shaysailor Are you talking about a live perfomance video by Mocedades on YouTube? There's only one studio recording in Spanish (and some in other languages) and it is "toda me esperanza" in the first verse and "todo mi horizonte" in the second.

  • @SWLinPHX The other video I was looking at is by 68mimusica, you should see it to the right in the feed. I don't know if it was from a live performance.

  • @Shaysailor I just saw it. I don't know how you found it because it doesn't appear in the right column suggestions for me, but it is not the official recording, although it does sound like the same vocalist, although the audio quality is horrible. It's the only version of all the ones on YouTube I heard it use the same line twice. It is apparently a live recording where she messed up the lyrics (it happens to the best) and then whoever created the video just transcribed it with the error.

  • @SWLinPHX I was just looking for videos with lyrics and that one had the easiest to follow lyrics (for me - I like to see them ahead of the song). I am glad you pointed it out because I was learning it with the error in it.

  • @Shaysailor Yeah, this is more karaoke style. But I do have printed lyrics for the translation in the INFO section (and a link to the English version they recorded).

  • @SWLinPHX Yes, now that I listen again, it is a live version, I guess, because it has applause at the end.

  • @Shaysailor It is in the feed at right, by 68 mimusica.

  • @Shaysailor CORRECTION: The song first got attention at the annual Eurovision song contest in Europe in 1973, where each European country submits an artist and original song. They actually did use that line twice as in the other video. After its success there they polished it up for the official studio recording and changed it to "Todo Mi Horizonte" for the final metaphor, which I find better as a finish and not to repeat another metaphor already used, since none of the others are repeated.

  • @SWLinPHX On all live performances BEFORE the official studio recording she says it twice. But on the recording and all live performances THEREAFTER, she sings it like this. There's videos of their original performance as Spain's entrant in the contest in 1973.

  • I was living in Mexico when I heard and learned it; Iater, in the US, I thought it to my Spanish classes. Now that I'm thinking about it it was in 1973, indeed. Great memories- thank you!

  • @vlissingse sorry, of course I meant "taught"

  • Hermosa la canción <3

  • I love this song, reminded me always of mi amor, Heri, - .el agua de mi fuente! <3<3

  • Me encanta. :) Ayer cantamos en la clase.

  • I wasnt even alive when this song was made a hit , and I adore it . I bought it ; I listen to it ; I sing it ( I am a singer ) and I can learn any language , so of course I know what it means . What a great song . What great lyrics . I LOVE it . A great song is always a great song ! I song this before English speaking crowds or anyone . The Engl. language version doesnt do it justice .

  • @Tubulator101 I love the Spanish version as it is the original and the song probably wouldn't have been as big a hit internationally if it were originally in English. However, if you click to my link for the English version there's some poignant lyrics as well. The difference is it's just about lost or missing love instead of a tribute to someone like the Spanish version.

  • Me hace llorar. Me encanta.

  • ni que decir; excenlente canción

  • I love when Chris Farley and David Spade do the duet and sing the song on the movie " Tommy Boy" that scene is hilarious....RIP Chris Farley we missed you buddy

  • Tommy Boy <333

  • My Spanish Teacher Plays This Song Every Day!! Lol I Think Its Safe To Say That He Loves This Song A LOT! xD

  • ALWAYS loved that song...so nice to hear it again after so long! Thank you/Muchas Gracias! :)

  • Thanks for your efforts and the sound's v. good too!

  • This is the song that led to the death of Francisco Franco. As he heard it, he couldn't bear what a wimpy nation his once proud Spain had become. Two years later, he died of a broken heart.

  • @blacksamcooke We were living in Spain when Franco died. That's all that was on the one or two TV channels they had then (close ups of his corpse lying in state), 24/7.

  • @SWLinPHX I think we assume it was big news.
