I remember first seeing this trailer. Was waiting for it online (do any of you remember the time countdown?) and then the site just crashed from excessive traffic ;-) Was worth the wait, as I loved how they made it. I remembered the music and Pruitt Igoe sequence from Koyaanisqatsi right away. Really powerful scenery to base the trailer on. Brilliant! Hats off to Rockstar on that!

The graphics can't be full-out next-gen, because the game has to render so much on screen at once. The GTA games have always been like that, just like RTS games. Since there's so much stuff visible at once, you have to sacrifice graphics for performance.
