  • playing this song on the guitar while heading to the west in a wagon=FLYING :)

  • It just may be that GOD planned the fall of Adam so he could make all kinds of music through his amazing created artists. I just wonder how awesome the music is going to get when we can jam with Angels. There will be a resurrection folks and all the dead musicians will be alive forevermore. Who wants to hear JIMI HENDRIX next c.d.Cosmic Wah Wahs. I wonder if Angels on other planets have guitars and amps and put on concerts. Mabey they are waiting for humanity to be perfected.

  • @tubermier Your High aren't you? :)

  • Besides for the vocals, this kind of sounds like a Beatles song.

  • how can you not like John Bonham and company!!!!!!!

  • 6 people have no friends..........or taste in music.

  • You people arguing about it should shut up and just listen. Led Zeppelin- Page- Plant-Jones and Bonham (RIP) rule from an extremely high throne. They are in a class by themselves. Don't go comparing apples to oranges, clearly these guys are golden. Simply the truth.

  • I love all these idiots comparing meat with fish. Forget all that crap. Led Zep are unique just like Pink Floyd are and the same goes for the early Genesis ( 1969-1975 ), Yes, Van Der Graaf Generator, Gentle Giant, UK, King Crimson etc... so stop saying LZ is better than Pink Floyd or vioceversa because it means that you have no musical understanding and maybe you should stick to Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga or something

  • This is quite possibly the best song ever made...

  • @PistonDriven every zep fan says that with every song and when you hear the next one, that becomes your favourite...and so on.. that's the way it is with LZ

  • led zeppelin

  • if i was a show, i`d want this to be my theme... by far!

  • ok the Led is good,,,,,,,,, please lets not forget the 60 70 80 90 00 10

  • They were the original boy band guys...

  • @ziltoid420 mannn. what the hell are you talking about? troll

  • Van Halen like a lot 70's bands and even after owe Led Zeppelin a HUGE thank you. No other band really defines hard rock like Led Zeppelin and no band ever will and all they needed was 10 years to turn the rock and roll world on it's heads. So...Get the led out my FRIENDS as often as you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • stay frosty!

  • understood the new

  • Once I like LED, they were pretty good; but then something happen. I didn't like them anymore, and I couldn't understand it... but then I realized why. It was tough. Man!! I realized....I lied. No....I lied. To you, Like I would not like LED. Get the fuck outa here!! ONce I liked led... and I never stopped liking LED. WOOOMB WOOOOMB WOOOMB

  • Moses had his burning bush, Jesus had his 40 days and 40 nights, The Buddha had his night beneath the pipal tree, St. John had his time in the Cave of the Apocalypse, I heard Led Zeppelin when I was a kid.

  • The problem with Led Zeppelin is that they didn't have enough range or creativity in the different type of stuff they did.

  • @mrrusss You really havent listened to all there stuff have you...

  • Sounds like Van Halens "Frosty"... hmm

Jimmy Page rippin' off Eddie yet again...? lol

  • @whoreratio Jimmy Page "rippin' off Eddie (Van Halen) yet again". On this song? I'm just pointing out the obvious differences in Jimmy's age and era versus Eddie's, since the latter was in diapers when Zep III was released. Or maybe, he wasn't quite born yet?

  • @MadderRoseRulz

T'was just a joke. Notice the "lol" after my comment.

  • @MadderRoseRulz Diapers? You realise that that Van Halen started in 1972, two years after this came out?

  • When I read LOTR I imagine the songs they sing to LZ songs..

  • Que Buena LSD LED Z trip trip trip!

  • if you listen VERY carefully, at the 0:09 - 0:10 mark, you can hear someone say "fuck". kind of like the "stop!" in the middle of out on the tiles

  • i'm not much of a led zeppelin, but led zeppelin iii is such a fan-fucking-tastic album. on no other did they demonstrate such range and great melodicism, nor were they as concise and were the arrangements as strong. i would without a doubt recommend this album to anyone who had never heard the band before

  • Considering not only music quality (which is too subjective), but also importace, influence, impact, originality, commercial and chart success, as well as longevity, the vast majority of music critics would go for the greatest bands of all time:

    1) The Beatles

    2) The Rolling Stones

    3) Led Zeppelin

Only then you can start thinking about bands like Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beach Boys, The Who, U2, The Clash and so on.

Sorry, but whoever said Pink Floyd was greater than those three is insane.

  • @jgg87

in terms of making art, deep, soul searching stuff, pink floyd wins out over those bands. that said, i dont always want to listen to deep, soul searching surrealist music.

  • @jgg87

Geez you must work at the RnR HoF.

    RUSH was not even mentioned..?

  • @jgg87 how old r u moron stf you cant listen to pink floyd you too stupid for

  • @jgg87 lol there is no best 3 in music... unless you can play every style of music better than anyone else, you are not the best. also commercial and chart success means absolutely nothing. thats based purely on how much they want to market you. justin beiber is big and hes a fucking arrogant, talentless, peice of shit.

  • @jgg87 That'd be... in America right?. I could understand that coming from an American, but in Europe and Japan Queen easily beats'em. Musically speaking also the Who, Floyd is at the level of Beatles and Stones and Zeppelin perhaps is better than Floyd.

Anyway those are just American oppinions. They're not very smart and don't really know or appreciate true greatness like Classical music or Jazz. Europeans know better.

The Beatles were absolutely outdone even at their time by The Who.

  • @Kamyu03 lol all you're doing is talking in different opinions there, none of that is fact. i am english also, before you bring that into it

  • @lingo929 Nothing i said was a subjetive oppinion.

  • @jgg87 I think floyd is better than the stones and especially the beatles. the beatles are so overrated

  • pity they plagiarized most of their hits.. and gave no credit whatsoever..

  • @EgoDeath pity you don't know shit.

  • @EgoDeath oh what? you mean like every blues artist has done for centuries? it was accepted for blues artists to play each others songs, i just think zeppelin made them completely diffferent songs, which took alot of talent and effort. why credit someone, when you were inspired by their song, yet completely recomposed it the way only zeppelin could. listen to original dazed and confused then zeps, you tell me theyre the same song.they made it their own song, does that really need crediting?

  • Devin Townsend uses the tuning (CGCGCE) exclusively, because of this song

  • this song kicks total ass. the strings really add to the mood... it reminds me of shadowed hatred toward someone...

^ did i just sound like a lil emo kid right there?!?

  • 5 people were hanging upside down when they voted?

  • @SD1Chargers thats actually kinda clever, i hadn't heard that one before

  • The ending is wicked surprise. Great song all the way through.

  • the most underrated led zeppelin song EVER.

  • whats the led zeppelin song where the guitar starts like this.. "da da da da dadadaaa daaa da da da dadadaaa".... ??

    just kidding.... :-)

  • good song

  • Man,man...:)

  • Happy birthday Jimmy!

  • TVTropes: "Friends" starts with a few seconds of studio noise. Turn it up loud enough and one of the band members drops the F bomb.

  • I think this is my favorite Zep song

  • Almost 49 and I sit here with goosebumps and water in my eyes...Zep never, ever, disappoints and always, ALWAYS makes me appreciate their brilliance. Forever loyal.

  • Zeppelin, Beatles, Black Sabbath

  • @mikepa67 pink floyd, jimi hendrix

  • @chabew AC/DC, Deep Purple,Rolling Stones,Cream

  • i had a girlfriend that finally told me she hated led zep, were not together any more, HAHA jus kidding... SHE DEAD!!!!!!!

  • @shutthehellup9999999

    pmsl sthu

  • i was 9 wen i discovered zep and i m in love with all their stuff and im 13 now

  • I worked with an affirmed Zeppelin-hater. He even unfriended me on Facebook over a Zeppelin argument. It was really pathetic. He was such a little bitch. We had always had our disagreements over music but the Zep argument was the straw that broke the camel's back. What kind of dipshit sacks the credit for being what they were? He said they were ripoff artists who never wrote any of their own material. This dude was in serious denial. What a fucking moron!

  • five people don't have any friends

  • Im not a huge fan of rock, But i have to say led zepplin is one of my favorite rock bands of all time. Along with the doors and the who. And a bit of pink flloyd

  • Can I marry this album??

  • @UniversalCaitlin just f*ck it

  • @UniversalCaitlin By the power invested in me from the god of rock, I now pronounce you album and wife. You may kiss the album.

  • @F0aming I OBJECT!!! I am in love with this album.

  • @UniversalCaitlin Lmao, Maybe if you vote Ron Paul.

  • I used to play like this but then I took a tip to the knee

  • Sorry guys. My friend commented on this video, not me. I would appreciate it if you'd stop sending me hate comments. Thanks.

  • when Elves play the blues it must sound like this -

  • goddamn, I always forget how fucking good this song is.

  • I love how this song starts out all acoustic and raw, and then morphs into like, this mysterious symphonic piece, it's great.

  • One of the best Songs of them..

  • epic

  • Led Zeppelin used to be my favorite band... nowadays ive grown up and realized they are my favorite thing period.

  • @redsoxfan1324

-MY dude ! ive been sayin the same thing for years !

  • Listen to Mars by Holst. Same string lick. Clever. Very Clever.

  • @Berserkedy Absolutely, thought this the very first time I heard it! Love both of them, but Zep sure ain''t original.

  • what a mix of American blues and Eastern minor tonalities - strange & compelling

  • @rockerjake252 you made the point for our side when you said "when was the last time led zeppelin released an album" thats justwhat you are too stupid to understand, people still listen to songs written 40 years ago. avenged sevenfold wont be remembered 15 years from now, and neither will you me you mental midget, shit for brains, destined for a career as fry cook at burger king.

  • @dobi68 bro are you like mad or something? i don't know why so hostile, maybe because he has a different taste of music than you do, but either way. Grow the fuck up, you won't be a true led zeppelin fan until you do, consider that.

  • @dobi68 , wat was his comment, i dont want to spend centuries looking for it

  • @onirycznaa cool im glad im just saying think about how many people your age you know actually listen to them honestly

  • if led zeppelin were to reform and their drummer was to come back from the dead (or at least his son play) I would give my left one

  • so glad im like the only 18 yr who listens to this...not thats bullshit my generations taste in music sucks

  • @maugler1992 you're not the only one. i'm 17 and i love led zeppelin !

  • @onirycznaa me to im 18

  • @maugler1992 im 16

  • @maugler1992 I was 11 years old when I discovered Led Zeppelin.

  • @maugler1992 I was 11 years old when I discovered Led Zeppelin and I'm now 16 years old. You're definitely not the only one.

  • PEACE, LOVE, AND ZEP!

  • @parrottfamily3 true

  • Fans of Jimmy's Eastern influenced acoustic work might like a vid I just posted - "Rosetta West - Yallah." Hope you like it, and Happy Halloween!

  • ''the greatest thing you ever can do ,is trade a smile with someone who's blue !''thats what friends are for !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Without Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath there is no Avenged Sevenfold

  • @OutlawKV And without Cream, Yardbirds or Jeff Beck Group there wouldn't have been Zeppelin and Sabbath.

  • @konked Thats not true because they were all on the same circuit

    Peace

  • @RumbleGuts2112 ,,V (oo)

  • @konked Dont quite understand your reply but im sure it was positive :)

    Peace

  • @RumbleGuts2112 The Peace sign from 1960's :) also for victory which Winston Churchill made famous. The comas are for knuckles :)

  • @konked zep (one) original master reel to reel is titled "the new yardbirds", so you coulnt be more right about no yardbirds=no zep.

  • has such a mystical undertone doesnt it

  • thats what you have to do. you have to pave your own way and if anyone follows behind you then they'll be worth forgetting.

its those that do their own thing are the ones that become immortal.

  • they paved a good road, but everybody these dayz took the shortcut......bummer huh.

  • Ahh, can anyone say pioneers? Rock icons? Paving the way for future musicians!!! This shit is what rock was built on!!!

  • chingon we chingon

  • 4 people don't have any friends?

  • i ate a turkey sandwich once that wrote more well-composed music than this.

  • @RockerJake252 Your end is near!

  • @ramble0npirate listen to Save Me by Avenged Sevenfold, then tell me this piece of :art" is music.

  • @RockerJake252 Yes THIS ^ piece of art is music. and nobody even remember's what the cunt A7X even is anymore, good job fuckface!

  • @ramble0npirate nobody remembers A7X? they just released a masterpiece album. when was the last time zepplin released an album? yeah, that's what i thought. avenged sevenfold would refuse to play anything like this because it sounds so damn nasty just listening to it.

  • @RockerJake252 Dude zeppelin are legends and they made bigger albums with real musical talent. so what if they don't anymore, the only reason they aren't a band anymore is cuz Bonzo died, and they didnt think it would be right to continue making their magic without their drummer. Maybe A7X should do the same! But good job taking shit on Zeppelin maybe you should see a different song, even to me this isn't even that great. Listen to Led Zeppelin 4 or 2 or just piss off nancy boy

  • @RockerJake252 Probably coz when Led Zep lost John Bonham he was such a part of the family they couldnt carry on without him through respect you dick.

Led Zep played and introduced so many different styles over the years while remaining true to the source of honest blues and folk music. Their influence on rock music in general is without question.

    Peace

  • @RockerJake252 Lol, who the fuck is Avenged Sevenfold? Sounds fucking emo.

  • @Fo3fan97 they're currently number one on the charts for modern music.

  • @RockerJake252 Zeppelin is top ten all time.

  • @Fo3fan97 Of* all time. Search it up for yourself RockerJake252

  • @RockerJake252 are u retarded?

  • @RockerJake252 is a trollin fuckface

  • @RockerJake252 Go fuck yourself with a spiked baseball bad, you ignorant fuck

    You just pissed me off

  • @RockerJake252 dude are fucking kidding me? Led Zeppelin are rock gods, they are untouchable. A7X would even agree dumbass

  • CGCGCE!!!!

  • I always think Jimmy whispers "fuck" at 0:09.

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • An ole' friend said III is their greatest!I just knodded.

  • "The greatest thing you ever can do, now

is trade a smile with someone who's blue, now

    It's very easy"

Si guiaría mi vida por esa frase, creo que seria un hombre muy muy feliz.

  • how can anyone dislike this song? :S

  • This is the real deal here.

  • Without a doubt Led Zeppelin III was their masterpiece .

  • @bobilly1492 I agree my Zeppelin friend. This album shows there versatility. This song on the cd when it blends in to celebration is awsome!

  • Another influence of Joni Mitchell... JP had said in an interview that he would love to have her at the foot of his bed serenading him off to sleep at night. She made up her own tunings on guitar and I think that (combined with her awesome voice at the time) was what grabbed JP.

  • @beelzabubba, The only thing Jimmy Page didn't like about Joni Mitchell was that she wasn't 12 years old.

  • @TIMOTHYSAARINEN That's messed up. LOL

  • Who is PF?

  • @TheCAGUY99 Pink Floyd

  • so Indian!

  • what are they saying at the begining?

  • Whereas IV gets all the attention, this album always seemed much more on a classic track. This was supposed to have been an all-acoustic album. They performed this song often during the infamous and now legendary acoustic set

  • @eavitale055 I could definitely see how this album could be all-acoustic !

  • My band covered friends, but we used a sitar : watch?v=DG4umXSCDI4

  • This song is magic.

  • Open C tuning is awesome. My favorite for mood and dark undertones yet it's bright. - love writing in an open C . . . .

  • So this is the song I have been subconciously being playing my guitar too. LZ? I should have known. Bless them!

  • everytime somebody need ya, don't let them down, although it grieves you.

    Deep.

  • led zeppelin

  • watching this thanks to @madflavor gotta love led zeppelin the second greatest band of all time.... besides pink floyd of course!

  • @guitarhero691 And the beatles

  • @martin2sax PF>LZ>Beatles

  • @blingadude RIGHT ON! I agree exactly.

  • @blingadude PINK FLOYD > Zeppelin > Beatles

  • @shunshine77 I'd say pink floyd and zeppelin are about equal but right on dude!

  • @bcbcbcbcdc

Pink Floyd is good, a great blend of unique psychedelicness and eerie original instrumental work, but, in all honesty, I'd have to say Led Zep has less "dud" songs, most bands are a bit "hit and miss", what's I'm saying is, I think Zeppelin has more "hits" in comparison to Pink Floyd's "misses". But, to each their own, and it's all great music, nonetheless. Makes me a bit ashamed to live in an age of Justin Bieber's trash being referred to as "music".

  • @Bendrix27 RUSH has no dud songs until the mid 90's

  • @dleblanc343 I'm a big Rush fan, but I don't really dig the albums between Signals and Presto.

  • @Bendrix27 Yeah, i know what you mean. I've grown up on Led zeppelin, and i can say that they are my favorite band and if not, the greatest band of all time.

  • This is what you call @madflavor!

  • i started listening to this song when i was 17 and finished it was my 18th birthday ,had to be done the song of my childhood
