i'm not much of a led zeppelin, but led zeppelin iii is such a fan-fucking-tastic album. on no other did they demonstrate such range and great melodicism, nor were they as concise and were the arrangements as strong. i would without a doubt recommend this album to anyone who had never heard the band before

1) The Beatles

2) The Rolling Stones

3) Led Zeppelin

Only then you can start thinking about bands like Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beach Boys, The Who, U2, The Clash and so on.

Sorry, but whoever said Pink Floyd was greater than those three is insane.

Pink Floyd is good, a great blend of unique psychedelicness and eerie original instrumental work, but, in all honesty, I'd have to say Led Zep has less "dud" songs, most bands are a bit "hit and miss", what's I'm saying is, I think Zeppelin has more "hits" in comparison to Pink Floyd's "misses". But, to each their own, and it's all great music, nonetheless. Makes me a bit ashamed to live in an age of Justin Bieber's trash being referred to as "music".
