  • I can only think of two words to describe this...

    Fuck yeah.

  • This is insanely epic. How did I not find out about this before?? Never thought Tom could pull something like this off but dang, the man works it! This is why I am a Waits fan always doing something different and making it work for him.

  • this shit is sick

  • Waits voice is scary...but it fits this song

  • atleast smoke weed Every day!

  • I would love to see the filming of Waits singing. He puts so much heart into it from just listening to his parts alone. Especially the line "I'll meet you in the music with me in the music". That part always hits me in the gut.

  • asflkjasdkfl;asldkfjksdla;sdlfkjsdf.

Tom Waits on a rap track. I never thought I'd see it, but there it was.

And it blew my socks off.

  • Waits' delivery of the end of the second verse 2:15 is the best thing I've ever heard.

  • legit

  • Delicious

  • hell yeah

  • Holy hell

two legendary artists whom I love dearly and NEVER would have put together.... but there it is

    Brilliant

  • Team Teamwork put this track over the prelude theme from Final Fantasy 7. Check it out, it's surprisingly good.

  • OMG it's Tom Waits

  • ...The Japanese don't cut their own heads off in seppuku, you know. How the hell are you even supposed to do that? They disembowel themselves.

I do agree, however, with your stance on weed and the real shit.

  • LETS DOOOOOOOOOOOOO THISSSSSSS

  • Two kings on the same track, one of the greatest collabs ever.

  • @cormacb1

    I second that notion

  • the collaborations on this album are amazing but weird at the same time its so different but i love it

  • Everyone can win the toss.

I may wander but i am never lost.

  • W O W , this is cool shit..

nice song structure..and tom is great..as ever..love the vibe..

  • dize nigaz mad dopee

  • um WHAT?!! this is fuckin incredible.

i literally just searched 'tom waits david byrne' cuz i was bored and those are two of my idols, not expecting to see them involved in ANY of the same projects. and this is coming for 150% raphead too.

and i find this. this album is collaboration of the century. waits, bryne, george clinton, wutang, KRS, chuck D all on an DJ album. impossible. i guess not

  • Tom Waits is tearing it apart and chewing it up here!

  • Toms voice is a MONSTER, in a good way

  • this is the craziest shit i've heard in a while, what a colab. keeping things interesting.

  • Could someone show me a page where I can find lyrics? :)

    With love: Tom

  • The street thug and the devil he sold his soul to. Insanely great.

  • Proof that Keith really is one of the most revolutionary characters in hip-hop.

    Fuck notoriety.

And it's also proof that even Waits has still got it.

  • waits always will have it.

  • waits never lost it.

  • This is fucking hardcore.

  • This is near proof that Tom Waits can adapt to anything musically and pull it off.

  • have you ever heard mos def?not even close,he sounds like kool keith

  • kool keith and tom waits equals fuckin money, this track is TOO hard!

  • Hell yeah Tom Waits, Ghetto Buddha indeed

  • Tom Waits doing Hip Hop equals total seismic energy.

  • This song is one of those happy collaborative trainwrecks that aren't supposed to work, but end up working frighteningly well.

On second thought, given Kool Keith's penchant for being a hip hop innovator, and given that Tom Waits is... Tom Waits, the song's success shouldn't be so surprising.

  • AWESOME!!!

  • If there were two voices for the concept of badass, the speaking voice would be clint eastwood, and the singing voice would be tom waits.

  • this makes me fucking STOKED!

Tom Waits is a fucking badass

  • reignited my interest in hip hop

    Brilliant!!

  • this song is almost to good.

  • MAN!!!! Kool Keith haven't heard him in years.

  • I cant believe how many good tracks are on this album.

I really though hip hop was finished.

  • Jesus Christ, Tom Waits has a voice like you getting struck in the stomach by a sledgehammer. It is wondrous.

  • Holy crap! I never even imagined Tom Waits doing this, let alone pulling it off!

  • I just stumbled upon this. Epic... Epic.

  • OHHH SHIIIIT THIS IS ROCKIN!

  • so. epic.

  • Brilliant collaboration. Spot on!

  • damn, now the barstools are all on fire.

  • I ain't the first to say it, but this is fucking incredible. NASA's taste and innovation is pretty wonderful.

Gods Tom sound PRIMAL on this track.

  • dzięki Tomowi ten kawałek ma ręce i nogi. Tom Waits jest bogiem naszych czasów.

  • I can't think of a scarier dude to put in a rap song than good ole Mr. Tom Waits. Awesome!! I may just check these guys out if they're good enough for Tom. haha.

  • what a bullshit

  • It is also a fuck, and a damn.

Swamp801 is bastard. I am bitch.

  • Right now I'm listening to a CD of 15 tunes using Waits in the mix, from Step Right Up to The Ship Is Sinking. Only one or two tunes don't use Tom. The best are Step Right Up, Dreaming of You, What's He Building In There, and I forget the fourth. So, how come no one is talking about this amazing CD...because it's a boot? Boot's don't come from brand new mixes...

  • love this!!!!!

  • tom waits is the king and this is just another afirmation of his rule. seriously though NASA rocks and tom was a hell of a choice.

  • hhahahahahaha

holy shit, when Tom Waits came on i like jumped. Whatavoice!

  • Comment removed

  • so fucking awesome! i'm speechless as well! i'm buying this cd today!

  • Speechless

  • holy shit!!what a colaboration-two of the most creative minds in the history of music....my mind is officially blown!!

  • pretty much man

  • Never in my wildest imagination could I have thought these two geniuses would appear on the same track. The only way I could imagine it better is if Mike Patton was on there. LOL

  • Tom Waits is awesome. Kool Keith is awesome. This song is twice as awesome as anything else.

  • Waoh wouldn't have thought it to be as amazing as it turned out. Lovin'it.

  • "Tom Waits" should be a household name until the year 3000. Still 59 years young, I'm glad he is still keeping up with the times, not like he has to, his career spans almost 40 years now, of genius music. All you kids out there ask your fathers about this man...a true hero. Why doesn't this video have more views?

  • Tom Waits kicks so much ass. He does the beatboxing on "The Waitress" by Atmosphere, too. I thank The Daily Show for introducing him to me lol

  • He was on the Daily Show?

  • this is dope.

& Tom Waits owns Keith on this.

Tom waits should get on more hip hop tracks

  • tom is always full of surprises.

  • Holy crap... this is hilarious and completely badass.

  • this is off Sam Spiegel's N.A.S.A.project

  • Well i believe everyone has influences and so does Beefheart...

This song surprisingly works, i like it.

  • tom waits <3

  • sounds good

  • what album is this on?? 2 of my favorites!

  • The new NASA album out now.

  • I like both of them and this sounds really cool.

  • Tom still pushin the limits hard as ever. Respect.

  • Tom makes everything his own...

  • Except everything Captain Beefheart ever did. Keith owns Tom Waits on this shit.
