Hi mate that looks class im trying to build a go kart witha 600cc enigne in it if any1s got any tips other than dont do it would be much apprcitd thanks
Keep the center of gravity as low as you can. If the engine sits too high, it will be top heavy. If the engine weighs too much, the front end weight ratio will be too low and it wont steer at high speeds or under load. Always use a differential rear axle and design the front end to maintain a proper steering axis inclination. Hope this helps.
Actually, there are no plans. I just thought it through and started welding. As you can imagine, it took a lot of thinking through. Designing and building stuff is one of my stronger talents.
A standard-shift Go-Kart. I wish Carter or some of the other go kart companies made them like that. (Of course you'd want the electric starter, it'd be a pain to have to get out and hand-pull it every time it cut off :D )
Teach em while their young! I had to learn a manual trans on my own and never went with an auto since.

Then again, I think those 6 HP go-karts only have one gear, so there's no need for a transmission (or a gear-shift anyway). :(

that looks like a motorcycle engine on the back so you would need a shifter
